She is one year old, her name is Ginger. She has not had any of her shots or been spayed. The person who had her kept her chained to a dog house all the time. As far as we know tonight was the first time she has been with other dogs and she did GREAT! She is a little shy around humans. At Scooter's Dog Park, I had to bribe her with treats to come to me. I am only keeping her until I find her a good home.

She's cute! Looks like she's full of energy too and could use dog siblings to play with.

Now follow carefully or you might get lost. Sunni's mom, Cathy {(her daughter, April has Scooter - and the huge yard (Scooter's Dog Park)} has a cousin named Betty Sue. Betty Sue's daugher, Carrie bought Ginger but has never given her any attention. Soon after she got her, she chained her outside. Betty Sue bought Ginger the dog house. With winter coming up, Betty Sue did not want the dog to be outside. And Carrie for some reason had decided to take her to the pound. Betty Sue does not want to see her go to the dog pound so, somehow, and I still am not sure how I got bambozzled into this, I am rehoming her.

And maybe you'll "rehome" her right into your house, Diana!!!! ;)

Actually, I think if you decide (sounds like you already have) to find her a home, I completely understand. You already have 5 and I know that I never want to have 4 again (at least not as hairy and big as the ones I have). It's just too many for me.

But what a wonderful effort you are making for that sweet little girl. I'd like to shake Betty Sue's daughter a few times! Good heavens, what was she thinking?

Next time you visit Christie, drop her off in Dallas! :D :D :D

Love that tail! Ginger looks like a sweetie - and if Dazzi has no objections, Ginger's already a shoo-in for your "6-pack"! Hard to believe someone was going to leave that sweet little girl out all winter - she's not exactly "snow dog" material! Maybe we'll get to meet her out at the dog park, too! Say Hi to Scooter for us!

I totally agree that she would have an awesome home but I also know that 6 dogs would be alot for one person, and you have my support in whatever is decided, b/c Keegan will always be your honorary grandog!! ;)

If it were me - yes and no!!

How about you? ;)

She is so cute - but I know from just having two dogs that they can be more than you can handle. Find her a really good forever home. If not I vote to keep her!:)

Staci, you are right, and I corrected it in the post where I had it wrong so others won't think I had lost it which of course I have since there are now 6 dogs in my house.

Things are going pretty well. As I said, Ginger never stops moving so there have been a few little problems. Like Oreo hates her and chases her and last night backed her into a corner of the kitchen. Fortunately all that hyperness served Ginger well . She had started to growl and I was afraid going to defend herself so I called her name and she jumped over Oreo and came to me. She likes to sit on my lap although constantly moving while there which makes the others jealous.

While at Scooter's, Dazzi and Ginger seemed to get along okay. Here was a different story. She wouldn't leave Dazzi be and Dazzi has to be the one to approach. Dazzi snarled at her a couple of times and I thought oh, no. But this morning they seem to be getting along great even playing together.

I didn't think there was a dog alive more active than my Snoopy. I was definitely wrong. Of course, I am sure she is nervous - being IN a house, in new surroundings and with 5 other dogs around constantly. I was told she wasn't housetrained but she seems to be doing pretty well. She had one accident this morning but other than that seems to know to go out to do her thing.

As far as my keeping her, she is very cute and if circumstances were different, I might consider it. But with Carl living in Florida, I have found that five dogs are too many. There is no way I can give them the time and love that they each need and deserve. If I thought there was no one out there that would give this little girl the love and attention that she needs, it would be different. But she does seem to be a quite adoptable girl as long as whoever wants her understands how hyper Jack Russells are.

Thanks Logan, LorraineO and Staci for putting into words that acceptance so that whatever I decide I won't feel I have let her down.

Good luck in finding the little one her forever home, she does seem to be very adoptable so should have no problems. You did a great thing taking her in and getting her ready to go to her special family/ home.

With 6 dogs at your house, it's understandable! ;) I remember when we had 10 dogs at your house!!lol and that was temporary!!!

There is no way that you have let her down, you have given her more of a chance in the short time you have had her then her original owner's ever did! {{hugs}}

She is a cutie.
I guess you already answered yourself with the ? on keeping her or not.

One thing that I reccomend though is keeping her OUT of the dog park until she is up to date on all vaccines.

I believe most dog parks have that as a rule anyways.

She is one cutie. I've longed for a JRT if youlived closer I'd take her.

Good luck finding her a good home. 5 dogs must be a lot of work! But I know you are a great mommy..and if you do decide to keep her, I know that she will be in very good hands:)

Just to clarify, the dog park she is talking about, is a person's back yard. They call it their dog park, becuase it is so big :)
