Riley sleeps with Dad and Shadow every night. He wakes up around 7:30 am and sits on the night stand and stares at Dad until he gets fed. Sometimes, Dad wakes up and sees him staring and will get up and feed him out of habit - then he'll notice the time is 2:30 am! Clever cat, isn't he?

Guess we know how rules at your palace, Riley! What a charmer of a boy you are. I'll bet it didn't take long for you to wrap your humans tightly around those precious paws of yours, did it?:) You actually managed to GAIN weight on diet food:D Gee, I wonder how THAT happened???;) Pam took the words right out of my mouth, you sure are living the "Life of Riley!":D

Riley still has some habits of his feral life. Pizza would be a treasure to a hungry homeless. Eating every bit he can when food is available, up at night looking for more. He should get over some of that as those days get further in the past. It's especially nice to see a kitty that needed a chance at life find some humans that cared. He's a handsome fellow. You remind my KatMa of our late Tiggy [AKA "The Best Cat in the Universe" b. 1985 d. 2000] looks-wise and communications-skill wise. And the way you bug Shadow reminds us of how the late Tiggster bugged Princess [b. 1986 d. 2001]. Princess was not always amused with her big brother...

Riley, you are a very handsome boy, much better looking than the original Riley! Both of you are tricksters though, especially you tricking your dad into feeding you in the middle of the night. Very clever! I think Dan is right, this is an old habit from your wild days when food was scarce. When you believe that your family will always have food available for you, eating so much will not be so important to you. My Sandy was the same way when he first came to live with me. I hope you enjoyed being our COTD and had some low-cal treats to celebrate <g>.
