I saw this video on another board, and I decided to post it here.

:Warning: This video is very graphic, but also very powerful and moving. It had me bawling like a baby from start to finish, so you may want to keep the tissue handy..

Turn your speakers up. Feel free to pass it on to everyone you know.

This is a powerful presentation. The only "pit bull problem" is
perverted human "animals".:(

That just breaks my heart. Makes me want to get one just to prove how good a dog they can be. Those dogs are better than the  that fight them. May those inhumane scums rot in hell.

Ditto.

In my life, I have never met a mean pitbull.

Thank you for showing this video.. It's very moving, and very well done.

That is just so sad. The part that made me cry the most was all the happy pictures.. I can just see some idiot saying "wait and see.. they'll turn on those kids any moment." I hope when I'm in school I get to meet and work with some pit bulls. I think they are gorgeous dogs.

I have a few people who need to see this, so I will be sending it on.

It is very powerful.

I normally won't look at something with a graphic warning, I'm just too easily traumatized by that kind of thing. But when Nomilynn mentioned happy pictures and I realized the entire thing wouldn't be gruesome, I decided to be brave and watch it. I am glad I did, for it was indeed powerful, and in a way the good pictures were the most powerful part.

The graphic pictures towards the beginning are a brief part of the presentation, I actually watched the video three times, but I could only stand seeing the graphic pictures once so I put my hand over the pics the 2nd time and just kept a corner uncovered so I'd know when those pics were past. I wanted to see the rest of it more than once.

Thanks for sharing this incredibly impacting presentation.

My Husbands brother and his wife had a pitbull for 14 years. Her name was April. She never hurt anyone.

I still believe and always will *it's nurturing not nature that makes a dog what it is* They may come with certain breed traits but with proper training and love they can all be good dogs.

It is a very moving video. And I do believe that it is mainly a humans fault, moreso than pittbulls.. BUT *and dont get mad* I have to disagree with some of the comments made. I do believe in general *not all pittbulls* but some, do have a streak in them that other dogs do not have. I do not think the reason why people dont like pittbulls is just because of their nature, I believe it is because it is one of only two dogs *bulldogs are 2nd* that can lock their jaws and not have the capability to let go, even when they want to.
I worked at a vets office, and I just noticed that most of the pittbulls that came in, had to be muzzled. Not because they were pittbulls, but because they had a background of vicious behavior. I myself have scars to prove that they can turn on you.(and yes I do know other dogs turn also) But It was unexpected and I was not egging the dog on. It jumped on my face, and bit me. I managed to pull back before locked jaws. And the owner was far from abusive. And another time I had to go to ER because this pittbull grabbed onto my hand, for no reason mind you, I wasnt even staring at him, and locked his jaws onto my hand. I had 4 splinted fractures, his teeth went completely through my hand, and I had to go through physical therapy to get my hand functioning again. And again, the owner was not abusive. So although I love all animals and I hope that all animals have great loving homes, I do believe that they are more likely to attack than many of the other dogs I have come across. Just my opinion , so dont get mad. I respect others opinions, please respect mine;)

Myth: Pit bulls have locking jaws.
Fact: "Locking jaws" do not exist. No one has ever found a mechanism that enables a dog to lock its jaws. However, a pit bull's strength and determination can make it seem as though the dog's jaws have "locked".

I started watching it.... but couldn't finish. I only got through the first 10 or so pictures.

I would be crying for the rest of the day here at work if I did.

I am shaking right now with anger.....

Angie, the bad ones towards the beginning are the graphic ones, the rest later on are of happy pits in loving homes, very poignant. You still may cry though.

kt_luvs_kitties, I'm sure if my Golden Retriever ended up in bad hands, she could have been just as aggressive and "vicious" as some people make Pit Bulls out to be. It's ALL in socialization, training, and how you treat them overall. It's true that some puppies *can* just be born aggressive (I've heard it from people that are involved in rescue on this board), but I don't think Pit Bulls are any more susceptible to attacking someone than any other breed. They were bred to be dog aggressive, not human aggressive.

And Jessica beat me to it with posting that link. :p

Hey thanks, you beat me to it!!

I've encountered four very aggressive and frightening dalmatians, one aggressive golden retriever, and one aggressive greyhound (as well as a myriad of nasty "toy" sized dogs) in the last few years that I've been working around animals every day....but I've yet to encounter an aggressive pit bull. Maybe I just haven't come across enough yet? I don't know.

For some reason you can't post pics in the Dog House.

What a CUTIE! That's a set of eyes that could melt your heart!

This video was very moving, but it didn't teach me anything I didn't already know.

If I wasn't allergic to Pit Bulls, and they weren't banned from the condo complex I live in, I'd adopt one in a second.

People are horrible.

I was able to veiw this after many attempts, and im so glad i did....

At first i had to look away at the pictures, i got watery eyed many times. But in the end the whole video was worth the tears....

And the words were SO true, like when it said "Some people would rather blame such things on something lower like a dog, than place such a disgrace on humans" that is soo true, too many people do that, and it's so wrong.

WOW. It was sad though :(
