My dad wont let me get a hamster! Who thinks I should get one?

its because hamsters smell, they poop alot, and they need ALOT of attention, and they die pretty eezy. not the best idea


not that im trying to side with your dad, but,im saying, its not the best pet to choose.

Not to be rude, but some of those are false. I've had hamsters all my life, and even raised babies.

Hamsters only smell if you don't clean their cage daily, if not thats why they smell. They poop alot? Well, you can't control that. and they don't need THAT much attention. Their nocturnal so they sleep all throughout the day, and are up at night. You would only have to get them out for an hour or so often. And they don't die easily. My hamsters lived for 4 years. And thats the best higest lifespan for them. I think their a nice pet, because their pretty cute, and cuddley, and all that stuff. ;)

But to answere the original question, Maybe your dad doesn't think your responsible yet. Or maybe you need to show them that their not bad at all. They really are great pets! :)
