Runny Eyes

About a week ago Mozart starting having problems with buildup in the corner of his eyes, more than the usual kitty eye boogers.

Yesterday, his eye got REALLY runny and mucusy.

It seems to be better today, but I'm still concerned.

Is there a certain time period to see if this is going away? Minette, one of my outdoors, had a similar problem, but it went away after a day or so and hasn't had a problem since (this was a month ago, before we had the kitten)

Sounds like an eye infection. I'd have the vet look at it. He'll most likely prescribe Terramyacin for it. It's an ointment that you apply once or twice a day.

In the meantime, take a washcloth with warm water and just wipe his eye gently to get the ooky stuff out.
