Silver Tide, how beautiful you are! With a name that is equally as beautiful! When I read how proudly your mom spoke of you, her love for you, the incredible, unbreakable bond that you two share, I have to admit it made me cry. Why on earth anyone would ever harm or abuse such a magnificent creature such as yourself is incomprehensible. But those days are over. Forever and always your loving guardian will be by your side, sharing your triumphs and tribulations, singing your praises! And today we do too. Today IS your day of glory; your day to shine and kick up your heels; the day we proclaim to all the world that the magnificently beautiful, most beloved, show winning throughbred "Silver Tide" is Pet of the Day! More importanly, she is a loyal and trusting friend, companion, and soul mate! Lots of love to you Tide! I hope you have a big party to celebrate your special day!!! :)

I would like to know who posted the picture of Silver Tide, because I am 99% sure that she did indeed sell her...to me.

I had no idea she was so "loved"...I got her from a big time horse trader in Florida last spring. I am now completely in love with her myself- but I'm beyond suprised that whoever is in that picture was able to give her up to such an uncertain future.

Oh, one more thing...if I am correct that this is my horse (and a quick check of her lip tattoo next time I'm at the barn should handle that) on the day that this picture appeared on this website, I was riding Silver Tide in a show in Michigan. Funny how fast a person's feelings for an animal can change.

I'm adding this the moring after my original post: I realize that what I wrote was a little harsh. Sometimes cirucmstances just don't allow for a horse and rider/owner to stay together "forever". I of all people should have been more sesnsitive to that, having had to sell a horse myself last year. Just wanted to add that, in case the girl in the picture is reading this, I don't want her to be afraid to contact me if she wants to.
