My otherwise normal acting puppy (10 months old shepherd/husky mix) is freaking me out tonight because he's following me everywhere with his tail tucked and keeps hiding under the dining room table. Why would he do this? This is very unusual. He usually just hangs out, lying around on rugs.

And we adopted him from the SPCA when he was 2 months old and I know nothing about dogs really, so any advice, experience would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Do you think your pup is in any pain? Anything in it's paw?

If this is sudden, I would watch the dog while acting in a very
calm manner & see if you can pick up any clues as to the cause.
Does the dog eat & drink?

Poor baby! Could something have scared him during the day? Or perhaps he's not feeling well? Perhaps you can *gently* run your hands over his body, tail, and legs if he lets you to see if one part is sore, swollen, or hot. I'd only do this if he is comfortable with you touching him, though.

Whatever it is, I hope he feels better soon!

Once in a while Face my Rott will do that, and i figured out to look under his stubby little tail, and i find poo hanging out with something like a sock that he ate, he just wants me to help him get it out, then he wags his tail and is back to his normal self. Maybe he has sometHing stuck in his rear.
