THIS IS A STORY THAT WILL BREAK YOUR HEART!

Two newborn male kittens were found lying deep in the mud; their eyes not yet open, dirty, cold, hungry, underweight, and desperatly crying out for their mom. Thank goodness they were found!

The kittens, named CHIP and DALE, were treated, warmed, and hand-fed formula around the clock. Vets cautioned they would NOT SURVIVE - but caring people were determined!

They were much later placed with CASSANDRA, a regal, gray/white mom who had just finished weaning her 6 kittens - she had some milk left, accepted the kittens, and was a protective mom who had cried for help when recently rescued herself.

Despite Cassie’s presence, Chip and Dale were SEVERELY UNDERDEVELOPED at 6 oz.; they were not nursing well. Cassie was running out of milk and going into heat. The kittens were dehydrating; Dale was so sick that he could not stand on his tiny legs. Chip dwindled and had a skin reaction to fleas so his entire underbelly was bare. They were rushed to a vet several times for care and rehydration. I began hand-feeding again, but Dale lacked a will to live and Chip had to be force fed. Their weight was not stable or gaining. For weeks the situation was precarious.

Barring many health issues, Chip, Dale, and Cassandra SLOWLY began MAKING A RECOVERY!!

Cassie has now been spayed and is recovering. Cassie needs lots of reassurance and socialization. Chip and Dale have been socialized (also with other cats) and litter trained. They eat well, groom each other, and fall asleep in my arms. Both show high intelligence; easy to routine train. Dale will likely be a lap cat. Both are black/white with humorous markings- they are soooo cute!

CASSANDRA is 1 years old. Grey/white. Regal looking with long legs. She is sweet and friendly.

CHIP and DALE are 11 weeks, but look about 8.5 – they're all in GREAT HEALTH. They will eventually grow into their age. The vets cannot believe Chip and Dale have survived - they were basically written off!!!

I need to place the cats within the next two weeks.

The kittens need not go together, but it's preferable.

I am looking to place the cats in State College, PA. Only serious inquiries please. Inquire at <[email protected]> and I will reply ASAP.

I can send anyone a picture by email really fast.

OMG if only I lived closer I would take them all (I'm in Western Canada). Thanks for posting. Prayers on the way that they find furrever homes.
