Our new addition!

Well, we got a kitty on Monday...she's our first cat ever. We named her Persephone (per-sef-o-nee...pronounciation lol). We got her from the humane society nearby. She was the friendliest kitty there :) She's at least two but she's pretty small. When we went to the vet, she weighed in at 8 pounds, but the vet said she's perfectly healthy and everything. When we first got her home, she explored the whole house and (so far :p) she's been a perfect angel :D She's very affectionate and loves to be petted...is that word? I don't even know....lol, oh well. She also likes to play peek-a-boo :p. The only pics I have are her pics from her petfinder.com page...I would have more, but my camera is being stupid and doesn't want to work right now :rolleyes: Anyway, I present to you...Miss Persephone! Thanks for adopting an adult kitty - sometimes they get lost in the shuffle when it comes to finding a home because there are so many little cute kittens. She looks like she'll be a wonderful companion!

My mom originally wanted to call her Percy but my dad and I like the name Persephone a bit better so this name still worked out pretty good! :D

I love calicos! I have one that still lives with my parents . . . she's built really small, always has been. Maybe it's something with calicos.
