I have been viewing the Dog of the Day sight for a long time but haven't posted until yesterday as you all know. But I cannot tell you all how great it has made me feel reading all your comments. It is very hard to lose a pet, but it makes you feel a little better knowing that there are other people out there that understand your grief and understand how very important our pets are to us. I just want to again say thank-you to all of you for the wonderful, caring comments you have made and I am glad to know that Mugs brought a smile to your faces ! I hope that he is having fun with all his friends at the Bridge and knows that I will never forget him and all the times that we had shared through the years. And his brother Ginger (the cat) misses him still too and thinks about him.

Kristie I think most of us have gone through what you are going through now or, unfortunately, will in the future. What makes it especially painful is when people outside of the immediate family, who maybe are not pet owners/lovers, can't understand the grief. I wish I had a place like Pet Talk to come to years ago when I lost my last two dogs in 1996 and 1998. I have come to know and love so many pets here that I have never even met and I have laughed at the funny stories their humans have told and cried when some of them have had to leave for the Rainbow Bridge. I hope that you stick around here even though your special little boy is not with you any more. We would love to see and hear about Ginger. I have a hunch, based on the name, that Ginger might be an *orangie* like my Trevor. :) Am I right?

Welcome to Pet Talk! I know how hard it is to lose a pet, a few years ago I lost my cat Zasper and I was just devastated. I was thankful to have pet talk to help me get through that difficult time. I hope you stick around and continue to post. I would love to hear more about Ginger.

I just wanted to let you know that I will continue to post on Pet Talk. I am sorry that I hadn't done so sooner. I would love to share my many stories about Ginger and his many activities!!!!! Ginger is....well I am honestly not too sure about what kind of cat, I've been told a long haired tabby. He's white all over his underside but has big "ginger" colour patches on the rest of him. I will try to post a picture of him as soon as I can. Take care all and I will look forward to reading your comments.
Kristie:)
Welcome to Pet Talk.
I am very sorry to hear about Ginger.
