I was just letting everyone know another homeless kitten has found a home. My sister had a friend that someone dropped a cat on and my sister's friend couldn't take of it so my sister took the little boy in. He was so small when she got him, she wasn't sure how old he was. After taking him in this last week, he has already started gaining weight. (She named him Oliver because he asks, 'Please, can I have some more?') He's learned what the litter box is for already, her other cats readily accepted him, and he learned that he just has to meow for his head to be scratched. Oliver is the third stray cat my sister has made hers in addition to her other three cats. I have three cats, also, and my mother has four cats, two of which were strays when she got them. We can't seem to turn down a stray but as long as there is room for them, I don't think it's a habit we need to break.

Welcome to Pet Talk Lady_zana.

You and your family are Angels for taking in strays and giving them a loving forever home that they so deserve. I can't thank you enough for that.

I'm sure you are going to love it here and enjoy reading stories on other homeless cats that have found their way into many PTer's homes.

I would love to hear more about you and your cats.

As you can see by my signature, I have 3 cats, 1 dog and soon to be added, a little kitten named Poppy that I rescued from the back lane.

Thanks! I would be happy to tell you about all of our fur-babies. First, I want to try to upload a picture though. I hope this works!

Hello Eepie! You're such a cutie and I love your name! :D

Sorry about that! I'm just trying to see how things work. That picture is of my calico, Eepie. I thought she was a cat when I adopted her but I'm starting to think she's a very small cow. I adopted her from the local shelter when she was only five weeks old. She was so tiny she could fit in my hand! I named her Angel but her voice was so high and tiny it sounded like she was saying, "Eep! Eep!" so the name Eepie stuck!

I have a long haired orange beauty named Weezie and a large-butted diluted tortie named Grey Girl. Grey Girl loves to kneed me and suck on my blankets. Weezie loves to talk! If you pet her all the way down her spine, she'll howl and it sounds like she's saying "Noooo!" I love to pet her and ask, "Weezie, are you pretty?" so she'll go, "Nooo!" I hope to have some pictures of them up soon. Weezie was adopted as kitten from a "Free Kittens" announcement and Grey Girl was adopted from a shelter when she was about 1 or 1 1/2 years old.

My sister just took in a new kitten, Oliver, the point of this post! I haven't gotten to see him yet but I hope to this weekend. She said he is solid black except for a spot of white on his belly.

She also has:
Precious - a torbie Julia (my sister) adopted from a shelter wheshe was a kitten.
Little Sam - a beautiful calico with special needs. Little Sam is a little slow but that doesn't mean she can't give all the love she needs! She was adopted from the shelter when she was about three or four months old.
Shadow - Shadow is Julia's big boy. He is a huge cat, solid black. He was adopted when he was eight years old and he's about ten now. He was free from the shelter because he had already been declawed and netured. The family that adopted him had to take him back because he was so large, he scared their children. It's hard to imagine, though, this big sweetie scaring anyone. He's a gentle soul. (He's the only cat of our that is declawed; we don't really believe in it.)
Mudpie - He was stray that Julie took in. He's white with black spots. He's probably three years old or so. It didn't take him long to learn laps are warm! We're saving to get him netured but don't worry! - we keep him up and know let any little 'Mudpies' but formed!
Muffin - Muffin is a stray that Mudpie brought to Julia's house. Muffin and Mudpie love each other! They are married. They share food and snugged each other at night. She is a tortie and very tiny.
Oliver - the new boy! Can't say much about him because I've not seen him yet!

Eepie is such a pretty girl.

It's so great that you and your sister take in and adopt not only kittens but older cats also. Bless you both for that.

You should really go into Cat General and introduce yourself and your furbabies, as not a lot of people come into Cat Rescue.

Actually, usually the newcomers introduce themselves in General first and then go into the section that is most related to them, whether it be the Cat, Dog or Pet section.

So hope you stick around, cause now that you have given me a load down on your furbabies, I am looking forward to seeing pictures of them as they all sound oh so adorable.:)
