I would just like to say hello and thanks to everyone who posted the great comments about Mugs, the dog of the day for September 26th. I have to unfortunately tell you that since I made the submission that Mugs has passed away. Mugs would have turned 17 this year. He had an incredible life and I miss him every day. I know he's up in Rainbow Bridge absolutely happy that he has been named the Dog of the Day and to receive such great comments from all of you. You can't imagine how happy I was to see him up there today after viewing the site every day for so long.

My heartfelt sympathy to you on the passing of Mugs. I loved his picture and getting to know him through your words. Mugs lived a long, happy life but it is never enough, is it? Dogs are with us for such a short time. I had a toy poodle who lived to be 17 just like Mugs, but his quality of life toward the end was not very good. Now Mugs is at the RB frolicking with my Pumpkin and sharing tales of how it was down here and waiting to see us again some day. (((Hugs))) to you Kris29 and thanks for stopping by to tell us about Mugs.

Kristie, I am so, so sorry that little Mugs is no longer with you. Maybe there was some Divine intervention in Mugs being chosen as Dog of the Day yesterday. I would like to believe that it was his way of visiting his Mom one more time and letting you know he was okay and you should be too.

Kristie, I want to thank you for posting here. I, for one, love getting to know our Dogs of the Day and knowing them, I cannot but help caring about them. Even though the news about Mugs was sad, I am honored that you cared to pass it on to those of us who felt his dear little personality as it shown through his photo and the bio you submitted.

Oh, I'm so sorry Kris29. Mugs' little face stole my heart this morning. (I'm a day late).

I know that you treasure every second you had with him on this earth and luckily someday you will be reunited in love at the Bridge.

I'm sure he is proud as can be knowing that he is not only Dog of the Day for us, but Dog of a Lifetime for you.

Congratulations, Mugs. Run and play happily at the Bridge sweetheart.

Thank you for writing to us Krisitie. I was heartbroken to learn of the passing of your precious Mugs. He put a huge smile on all of our faces yesterday. How very blessed you were to have had him those many years and how blessed was he, to have had you as him mom. But as we all know, no matter how long they are with us, no matter how full their lives, they are never with us long enough. I am sure that dear little Mugs was smiling down from the Rainbow Bridge yesterday, so proud to learn that he was honored as our very special Dog of the Day:) I will never forget your precious Mugs and thank you so much for sharing him with us all. Run happy and healthy at the Bridge little one, until that day, in the distant future, when you and your lfamily will be reunited in love.{{{HUGS}}} Sandra

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mugs:( I know how it feels having just lost my Dachshund at the end of this August:( I'm sure he's happy up there and has made lots of new friends. He was so lucky to live such a long wonderful life with you.
