I've got two kids that have been dog of the day, My Shepherd Timber Feb 99, And Wizard Apr 00. But besides them I love Maggie McMiggins Feb99. She was posted the day after Timber and looks exactly like my dog Twister that died last fall.
She's such a little sweetheart.

I love all of the dogs, but so far the most touching story is Eeyore (7/16/00). He's the most precious thing! I love his german shepard head on the lab body!!!

My vote is for Fetch 7/6/00. #1 - Because I am owned by a black Lab myself and #2 - Because Abby and I only live about 15 min. from Fetch. I'll have to see if I can't figure out who's owned by Fetch so we can get our girls together for some play time! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Lilly the dog of the day yesterday. I wouldn't say she is my favorite but I think it is great that her new owner took a chance and gave her a good home. Kudos to Lilly's human (7/23/00) for adopting a "senior" dog. Such great advice on picking a breed. I have a mixbreed who has horrible allegies. She needs a lot of attention in the fall because of them, but I wouldn't trade her for the world. I sometimes wonder if that is why her previous owner gave her up? Lucky for me!

Well... this is my first time to post on the board! I have been following Pet-of-the-Day for several months. I love this site... it is so well done AND interesting.

MY FAVOURITE dog (for JULY) is Fetch. I noticed that "Abby's Mom" also voted for Fetch.... and for about the same reasons as myself. My dog, Kira, is a Pitt Bull/Chow mix, but she LOOKS like a Lab. I love all of the dogs, but have two personal favorites:
1)Baloe, the bernese mountain dog(Feb. 2, 99)
He reminds me of my dog in one of the pictures, and her brother in the other(unfortunately we recently had to return Bubba(the brother) to our breeder :( because he didnt seem happy here, and we felt it was in the best interest of the dog)
2)Pepper, the bull dog/labrodor retriever mix(Apr. 24, 00), because i think that is one cute pup:)

I only discovered this site about 2 weeks ago and so far I love all of them. I love all animals, especially dogs. I can't wait to get a picture of my "Mommy's Girl" on here.
