A little off the subject of doxies, but heres a black bicolor collie.

I went to a dog show and saw the doxies, and ran to them (or did they run to me?) All of them gave me another shower, and now I'm in love with the breed.

"Red" Labradors are not all that rare. It is just a dark version of a yellow Lab. There are many different shades of yellow- really dark (red) and really light (white)- but they are all considered yellow Labs by the AKC.

I've even seen like almost plain white dachshunds, the piebald ones but there's almost no color, it's wild.

There's also the double dapples as mentioned, and piebald dapples, also brindle piebalds.

Hey, orangtango, this one you posted is a red dapple piebald
http://www.geocities.com/roxyfoxydox/Images/Photos/Tater.jpg
Technically I don't believe they are accepted by the AKC for showing purposes though, on the registration you just have to pick one pattern or the other, except for brindle piebald (since both are patterns but that's the exception one lol)

Did you guys know that the solid black dachshunds come from black and tans being bred together alot through the genes and the tan starts to fade out, making the pups start to become all black. :)

I'm searching for her, I remeber one in particular from Doxie's Kennel, I don't care for the kennel itself, sometimes the puppies look sickly but that's where I saw the almost all white dachshund, she had a tiny tiny bit of red on her. I'llkeep looking for it, she may have taken her picture down or sold her or something.

Hi there!

This is Fergus, my Setter. He's not rare, but you don't see many of the Gordon's round here.

Hope you don't mind me posting him

i know the White Bull dogs arent rare, but they arent very common, and the AKC doesnt accept white bull dogs or something(i over heard this when there was a guy at starbucks with a white bulldog, and he said that he couldnt show her or something)

Some very interesting rare colors for sure. I love the dalmatian site...I've heard of/seen pictures of black, liver and lemon, but never the blue or long haired. Interesting!

I met an Austrial Shepherd last night, that I swore was a borer collie. Black and white and very BC looking. Guy swore she was a shepherd though. Desont' matter, a very cute, very sweet dog nonetheless!

A few years ago, I was about to adopt a mostly black with some white beautiful Aussie girl. :)

A lot of people mistake Border Collies as Australian Shepherds and vice versa. I'm always having to explain the difference between the two to people!
