KAK's Storm is at emergency white coats

KAK/KrazyAboutKatz's precious big blue boy, Storm, took ill today and she rushed him to the emergency vet's. At this time it looks like he has both an infection and a UTI on top of that. He's being held for observation. It came on suddenly, and there are tests being processed to isolate just what's happening. We are concerned, and would appreciate some of the great Pet Talk prayers, if you have one (or more) to spare...

Oh poor Storm - and Tracey. :( I hope the EV can sort out the problem and get Storm back on his feet soon. It's scary when these things happen so sudden.

We'll be crossing our fingers, paws and send healing thoughts to dear Storm.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear about Storm. Tracey I know how it is to have to suddenly rush your baby to the ev. I hope that all will be well.

Thanks for starting this thread AmberLee. Storm's resting comfortably and eating well. He did have to be catheterized at around 2am and will need to have the catheter in for 12-24 hours. They also need to make sure that he's peeing on his own and that it's clear urine. If all goes well I can pick him up sometime Monday morning. The next doctor on call will have to make the final decision.

Tracey, you know you have my prayers for Storm. I am glad to hear that he is eating.

I am just praying that your quick observations and getting Storm to the vet immediately for treatment means he will be alright and soon back home with you.

I know all about the worry.......seeing our little ones ill just makes us heartsick!

Hi everyone. AmberLee and I went to visit Storm tonight and he's doing great.:) He's up and alert and loves the Waltham S/O wet food that they're feeding him. This is a real treat since he doesn't get wet food at home any more. He wanted to jump out of the cage and come home with me but needs to stay another night.
They'll take his catheter out at 2am and I can hopefully pick him up between 7-7:30am tomorrow morning.
