I've just noticed something in Lily's ear that's scaring me. It's not as red as it's looking in the pictures, and it's no wound - and no scurf; you cannot sratch it off. I don't know when this started to develope, I didn't notice before. And I've checked photos of her taken 4 days ago and you couldn't see it at all in those pics. I hope it's no cancer! :( I'll take her to the vet tomorrow... :(

I would guess that it can be a mark of one of Luna's teeth! Anyway I hope it is. Just a friendly reminder of big sister to behave maybe:)

We just came back from the vet. She detected a tiny lesion in her ear (probably from scratching her ear), and the vet said it looks like some bacteria have gotten into the wound and caused that reaction. Lily got an ointment into that wound and I was told it should have disappeared in a week or two. If not, I have to take her back to the vet.

BTW, Lily was such a good girl at the vet's! :D She ran into the x-ray-room twice and jumped onto the x-ray-machine. Obviously she thought it was a great cat tree! :D

I figured it was a scratch but am very glad you got medication for her to help it clear up.

Good girl Lilly! :D

It does look infected, but I think it's just a scratch. I'm glad she got something for it. Lets hope it's gone by next week. :) At least she enjoyed the vet visit. :D

Kisses to Lily, and also Luna. :)

Whew. I'm very glad it was just a scratch and that anti-biotic cream will clear everything up.

Did the vet trim her nails so that she won't scratch her ear badly again? I always forget to trim those back nails!

Phew, glad it wasn't any serious Kisten.

Now Lily, you were a very good girl at the vets, so please be a good girl and leave your ear alone so it can heal up nicely, okay sweetie.:)

Kisses to you sweetheart.
