I was just curious. I have been giving my cat Mollie Rose a 1/4 of a tablet of an antihystimine and it clears out her congestion, but she's still sneezing.

Not for my cats but they have for my dog. I give Disney a half a Tavist for her allergies. They gave me a sheet that said to give either liquid benadryl or a tavist pill and the dosage amount according to weight. If I remember correctly it said the chart was for dogs and cats.

The Tavist works better than the Benadryl did. She still scratched and sneezed with Benadryl. Maybe you could ask your vet if giving Mollie Rose a Tavist would be okay. Just make sure it is plain Tavist and not Tavist-D.

Yep, my Basie Bee was prescribed Benadryl for his allergies. We didn't give it long enough to tell if it worked...he kept spitting them out.
