The time of my life.

I really can't believe I was 8 feet away from Cornell Haynes Jr.
I can't believe I could see literally every perfection/imperfection of his smile. I can't believe I could see every sparkle of his shirt, his jewelery.
I can't believe I didn't catch his HAT :( He threw it out into the crowd.

I can't believe I didn't go insane being pushed and shoved by smelly sweaty people and literally standing with my face in some of their hair.

The concert was awesome. I wiosh I had brought my digital camera. I brought two disposable cameras instead, and hopefully some of the pictures came out.

My sister and I met two girls there who were really cool. We stood with them the whole time and basically made a wall so people couldn't push us that much lol

I was shaking the whole time and felt like crying.

My sister got some videos on her camera phone so hopefully she'll be sending those to me.

The St. Lunatics were there with Nelly too, of course. :D
Jahiem, the guy who sings "My Place" with Nelly was there also. And some other guy that I didn't catch his name, a new singer or something.

It was an MTV taping so it will be aired on TV and I may be on TV :p Which is really scary.

I just can't believe how much I put up with last night. The smelly people, the sweatiness, the heat, being so close to total strangers, making friends with total strangers, everything involved with being at a concert.. just because I was so happy to see Nelly.

I can't wait for his albums to come out in September. I'm definetly getting them.

Sounds like you had a great time! But I know what you mean about the sweaty people and all. That's actually why I stopped going to concerts. We used to go to all the best ones when I was younger, you know bands like KISS, Cheap Trick, Metallica, Tom Petty and a whole bunch of other ones I don't remember right now. We always walked away gasping for air with our ears ringing. One time, someone passed out and they never hit the ground because the crowd was so packed in that the person woke up before people had a chance to realize he had blacked out and wasn't just pushing them. Then we started going to all the "head-banging" concerts. Remember those, back in the 80's? ;) That was the end of it for me because we were constantly being sprayed by people's sweat as they whipped their heads up and down with their long sweaty hair flying all over the place - eewwwwwww. Maybe I grew up, but maybe I just couldn't take the swarming heaving sweaty masses anymore. :p

Anyway, glad you got a chance to see your idol. That always makes it all worth it! :D

I saw your away message yesterday and I couldn't believe there was no post about it on PT. I came on PT today purposely to see how it went :D. Sounds like you have a great time. I'm so jealous!

Kay sounds like you had a blast girl, I am glad you were so close, thank goodness we were all young once, I see those concerts and think I could never ever do that, well not now anyhow, but when I was young YES., its amazing how much we are willing to put ourselves through isn't it?

Kay I know you enjoy hip-hop (well some of it) just wondered if you have ever heard of a NZ group called SCRIBE, they are very popular here and hitting the top of the charts.
