Debra doesn't respond about them.. (Debra is the owner) So we believe that she promised her son Austin that he could keep all the kittens if she got rid of Hershey or that something happened to the kittens.. So 4-3 days ago we went to look at Kittens at Animal Control down here in Florida in Palm City (the adoption center that has the OutSide drop off AKA the Night Dog.) Well we went they're we also got the cat that now is my brothers cat her name is Mama'Kitty she has been to us to our grandparents and now she is back to us! Well anyhow we went there and went to where the "Big Cats" are because we didn't really know how to get to the Kitten section LOL! But b4 we had even walked in the building I saw this SOOO ADORABLE little Domestic Short Hair/Siemese/Mix Boy kitten! But of course my mother told me NO.. So we walked in (THEY HAD A HUGGGE ANT PROBLEM) Me My Aunt Christy my 2 yr old cousin my mom and my bro all went in... So straight to the "Big Cats" we went! When we got theyre they had a room for kittens/cats that bit someone.. they had Ferrals... And well BIG CATS my Aunt Christy just FELL IN LOVE with this one cat and my brother FELL IN LOVE with one too! But he couldn't get it sadly.... So we continued and we went in the dog section then finally found the kitten section!So we went in there... And there was the SOOO ADORABLE little Domestic Short Hair/Siemese/Mix Boy still sitting in the same spot I frowned knowing I couldn't get a male.. We read the paper and is said he was Neutured well then I saw a little Gray and black striped girl kitten and I wanted to hold her so my mother and brother went to go ask if I could hold her... Then someone came in and opened the glass little room and let me hold her.. She was VERY VERY FLUFFY!! Well VERY VERY SOFT so then my mom asked if I was aloud to hold the SOOO ADORABLE little Domestic Short Hair/Siemese/Mix Boy and the lady said "Yes" So I held him and he just looked at me and started purring (of course each kitten i held purred) But he smiled at me too... My mother asked if he was fixed if he would still spray.. The Lady said "No" A smile came upon my face.. My mother went and filled out the papers.. then he was mine! But we had to get our landlord to confirm and my Aunt Christy's landlord DIDN'T allow her to get the cat!!!!!! It took till 6:00 they're closing time to finally get ahold of our land lord (she doesnt speak good english) she said "Yes" we were out by 6:30 or 6:20 I was sooo glad we ran up to our office real quick so that my mother could drop off my Aunt Christy and my 2 year old cousin. But we stayed for like 20 mins my Aunt Christy said that I should name him Milo.. the cat from Milo and Odis. So I named him that. When I got home I read EVERY SINGLE Kitten Care Pamplet that we got.. (of course only for coupons and i read a few) So the next day I wanted to spend the 45 bucks that I had saved up on stuff for Milo so I did I came out with only like 21 bucks I got him a harrnest a mouse toy a feather stick a ID Tag for his collar kitten food and litter and a litter box.. I couldn't afford a scratching post........ Well my mom felt bad about not letting my brother get a cat so she got him a fish tank and stuff for the fish tank of course he has to wait 2 days though... Then we got home and he said where is the fish?! We said he hadded to to wait days b4 he could get any fish.. So he went to set up the tank.. The tank was broken!! So then we had to go back and get a new tank the next day I bought 2 more things for my cat I bought him 2 little kinda wet food things for him..

He now isn't a Mystery Kitty he is Kitty!

Milo is a cutie! Hate to tell you this though.... he doesn't look to be a siamese mix at all! Hope the vet gives medications for his cold and diarreah. Hope your family was reimbursed for the broken fish tank! Your mom sounds likes she goes all out for her kids! Still wondering why you didn't take one of your mom's friend's kittens though! Hope they are all fine and in good homes.

Munchkin cats are like dwarfs they have short legs and their bodies are low to the ground I think he is a domestic shorthair mix.... Thats good that your taking him to the vet though. I'm glad to hear I hope he's adjusting well and feeling a little better...

was just pointing out he doesn't have the features of the breed "Munchkin". Of course you can give him the pet name "munchkin"! I'm sure there are pics of Munchkin cats in the back of Cat Fancy magazines- that's where I have seen them- they have truely short legs! (hence the name!)

I hope you don't mean literally IN your ear! You could get ear damage! Brothers don't do that to their sisters- they protect them (or so I have heard....) Did you tell your mom? I hope he won't yell in Milo's ear! Poor Milo has an upper respiratory as it is!

Na he wouldn't yell in Milo's ear if he would I would hit him LOL! He evenn spanked Milo once and I hit him for that LOL! He always whoops my cats without my permission!

do you tell your mom so she can "whoop" him back? and besides, we all know now that animals do not associate pain with whatever behavior we are punishing them for- He shouldn't be "whooping" them ever! (and I take that back- mom shouldn't do that either- 2 wrongs don't make a right!). He's capable of speech, our pets are not. When they do something wrong, we have to find out from the vet if there is something medically wrong (milo's diarreah is definatly a sign of bad cramps and icky stomach- could be worms) and if it's not medical, we have to change the way we do things to see if that's the problem- it's a loooooooooong process! (i am sure you know!) With people- counseling!

My brother whooped Milo only because he kept swatting at the dog NOT clawing or attacking just swatting with his paw! Tomorow if he is doing no better then we are going to bring him to the vet.. I'm looking at him right now he looks so sad and sleepy! And I can't hold him because his eyes are swelling so I'm trying to stay as far away as possible... He is always under my feet so it is hard! And he sleeps right next to me at night, that makes it even harder! I just want to gie him some loving but I can't :(

You should be holding him as close as possible! if he wants to be cuddling with you, its the right thing! he needs to heat up his body with your body heat! don't leave him out of loving, his instinct is to go to mama for love and much needed heat for his illness, cats know what they need, let him, if he chills, he could spike a high fever and die! Cuddle him! I know you must want to and am not sure why you arent! We always cuddle our sick babies/cats. When they get too much heat, they will come out of the cuddle for air, then, when they are chilled again, pick at the covers to please be cuddled again under all the warmth!

NO! they are not swelling up from being held! they are swelling up from his uri (upper respiratory infection). Unless there is something else going on- did your brother "whoop" him in the eyes? never the less, what would feel good to him would be a cold damp (not soaking wet) washrag across his eyes. If he feels hot (check his ears and paw pads) then put cold clothes there too, throughout the night if you can to keep his fever from going any higher if you feel one. OK!?

I don't know much about URI but the notion of his eyes swelling from being held is preposterous. You need to talk to your mom immediately about your brother 'whooping' your kitten. He is too little and it could kill him. Try taking him into a hot steamy bathroom, I have heard that helps them. Get him to the vet asap.

Parts of your story have me confused, so sorry if my response doesn't make a lot of sense. It seems Milo has an URI? Poor tyke. He's probably confused, scared and missing his mom. The swollen eyes thing worries me. I'm glad you are planning a vet visit soon.

Cats' bodies run warmer than humans, but can you tell if he has a fever? He might like being cuddled in a towel in your arms.

Please let us know how he's doing. :(

P.S. Sometimes kitten farts (sorry) :o can be caused by worms. Don't be surprised if your vet gives him worm medicine. At least he'll smell a bit better!

Right now you are Milo's 'Meowmy' so to speak, who he turns to for comfort in a spooky world now that he's on his own. Do try the cuddle in a towel technique. I'm worried about him.

Thats like abuse and living breathing thing deserves that!!I hope Milo is ok, his eyes are most definitily not swelling from been held and he needs some major TLC right now and some kisses and snuggles withhis mom lol. You seem to be avoiding the vet, you should have taken him when you got him... If money is the issue I can understand so maybe try calling the vet and seeing if they can help somehow over the phone or a pay plan... I know your young and it's mostly up to your mom but, try calling and see what they say... As for "Whooping" the cat. Please don't let anyone hit your pet...

I have to agree here too, and I find this fishy. If Money were an issue they should have NEVER gotten the kitten or the fish!!!! I am an independent 28 year old with a full time job and the reason why I don't get another kitten is b/c of the money issue and space issue..... so I don't think that is a valid reason at all. So again, I sincerely again HOPE that isn't the case.....

I would never whoop my Milo.. And my mother and father work allday intill 6:00.. When my mother gets home tonight she is going to look at Milo one more time.. This week we SURELY will bring him to the vet Money is not the issue.... My other owns a eBay Drop Off Business which gets us ALOT of money (not to brag just telling you Money isn't the issue..)
And sorry I haven't been able to answer.. I had to have my computer off during a storm we were having down here in Florida...

We didn't bring him to the vet right when we got him because by the time we got out of the Adoption Center any Vet offices were closed.. Then my mother and father got really busy again... It's not like we weren't going to get him a Vet.. I'm homeschooled at my mothers eBay drop off business and my fathers glass business... I stay there intill 6:00 and I only go there one day a week so that I have the rest of the day off my brother goes one day a week too....

And we don't have a Money Issue either....
