Thanks for posting some pics Brandy! I love claire and Rebel so much, I was at the vet this morning for Jesse because she hasn't been feeling well lately and there was a litter of 7 week old dapple dachsunds and my mom said that we might be getting one! I'm so happy, I hope we do because I know Jesse's probably not gonna be around much longer. I love this pic btw.

He he he. Look at Claire climbing on the chair in the background. :D Was she going for the end table? Millie likes to get on the end table and lay down. We had to get glass cut to fit so she wouldn't scratch 'em all up. :rolleyes:

The lady called them red dapples but I always called them chocolate dapples, anyway they're the same colour as Claire:D what do you call it?

If they look like Claire then they are choclate and tan dapple. Red dapples are easiest to tell when they are pups because as they mature the dapple usually fades. I'm always weary of breeders who can't tell what puppies true color/pattern is. Buuuuut, lol, I'm not trying to tell ya what to do or anything. :D I bet they are super cute no matter what and it's not their fault. :)

Oh and I just wanted to add that in all honesty if she's not an experienced breeder I can see how her calling them red dapple would happen. I say that because red merle aussies look alot like Clarie but red in dachshunds is so different. It's no where near the same. Ok, sorry, I could go on forever about dachshunds and their colors. lol

I think they're chocolate dapples because they look just like Claire, She's not a breeder, she said her friend had the father and mother and said they were too hyper and out of control for her so this lady with the puppies decided to take the 2 adults and the mother was already pregnant when she got her. I saw both parents, they were at the vet too both doxies are very beautiful dogs and they have excellant personalities. The mom's name is Mocha and the dads is Bart.

Ah yes, that makes sense :D Poor babies! Yeah, if they look like Claire then they are chocolate and tan dapples, blues and isabellas are a bit different so there should be no mistaking chocolate :) Good luck with them!! and if you do get one, we must have tons and tons of pics! :D hehe
