Just some recent pics I really like and can't think of any theme for:

Raven says there is no way I am going any farther into that water. I am a snow dog, not a water dog.

Franklin, taken earlier tonight. He has been depressed lately, so he's out of the pen for a week so I can give him some extra one on one attention. I try to pull every dog out of the pen for at least three straight days at least once a month, just so they get some special time in the house and a break from the other dogs.
Franklin is already perking up, he's eating again anyway. I think he was getting picked on a bit too much. Sometimes being at the bottom of the pack order sucks!!
He's still shedding last winter's coat--the fur never ends!

Heyoka lounging on the deck. Such a happy dog, all the time. Still astonishes me that no one ever looked for him.

And final one for tonight is Sleet. I love her goofy ears in this one. Sleet is an amazing little dog and I love her to bits. She's my princess. I also like this one because she looks so young--she's at least 10 now, probably pushing 11. She's slowing down, but every once in awhile, she gets a burst of puppy-like energy.

That's all.....thanks for looking.

Wow.. Heyoka has a beautiful smile. :D
Rien says to tell Raven that open water can't be a good thing. That stuff is only fun to play with when it's frozen over and you can pull a bambi.

What sweethearts. I was so touched by how you described Sleet and her bursts of puppyish behavior. What a wonderful closeup of Heyoka too, handsome boy! Hope Franklin is feeling happier soon. He looks so sad in that picture.

Three weeks he sat in the city Pound. Three times he was scheduled to be euthanized. Caught as a stray--owner techinically had 3 days to claim him. Fortunately for him and us, a kind-hearted officer was on Animal Control that month and he somehow forgot to call the vet three times, until a kennel opened up at the no-kill shelter. I'd have pulled him from the pound if I'd known he was there. He was only at the shelter long enough to get neutered when we brought him home.

Franklin is much happier today. He's running around like a goofus on the tie-out. He always looks a little sad when someone is approaching him--he's a timid boy and when he puts those goofy ears out to the side, he automatically looks sad.

He's going back in the pen tomorrow morning, but I pulled Antare out tonight. Antare likes to pick on Frankie so it will be like a break for both of them! Franklin can, of course, still sleep in the house if he wants to every night.
