Oreo will have the second surgery, to remove larger margins around a nerve sheath tumor in her arm, tomorrow. I'll drop her off in the morning and pick her up after 5.

Will you please think of us tomorrow and pray for her surgery and recovery to go well? Thank you!

Oreo's vet just called, and she is waking up and doing well. He said that the surgery went well and he didn't anticipate any problems with lameness, movement, etc. We're sending the sample out to the lab again, and I'll get the results in 3-4 days. I'm praying that we'll have clean margins this time!

I get to pick her up this evening around 5--I can hardly wait! Now, for the next two weeks he said I should keep her "quiet, with low activity"--um, didn't he notice she's a Lab? I think that's going to be easier said than done! :)

It feels good to be on the way to having her healthy again! :)

Oreo is more uncomfortable this time than her last surgery, I guess because they had to take more out. She had a restless night last night. I'm giving her pain meds, so that seems to help.

This morning she is doing better--she has her appetite back and wants to go out for a walk. She's very resilient!

So glad to hear that Oreo's perked up some today. She's been through a lot but dog's are amazing in their ability to boune back:) Take your pain meds Oreo and soak up all that extra loving from your mommy:) Hopefully tomorrow you'll be feeling LOTS better:) And of course, lots of heartfelt prayers that your tests come back clean!!! It's now the third day since surgery, and Oreo has kept her bandage on still! I'm so proud of my wiggly girl! She seems to not be uncomfortable anymore, but we're using the pain meds regularly to keep it that way.

The only difficulty now is keeping her from jumping--we've temporarily fenced off just the flat area of our backyard for her so she can't climb the hill, and she doesn't like the restriction one bit! :)

Our vet just called at 8 this morning to tell me that OREO'S BIOPSY IS CLEAR!! Hooray! This is such a huge relief--all the cancer is gone, and now she just has to heal up from the surgery.

Thank you, all, for your continued support through this. I really appreciate you!
