Recap Days 10,11,12
-------------------------------
Olympic controversy ruling. The Staring Cat and the Ursus Stufficus have been ruled as a coaches and will be allowed to coach the mixed doubles sleeping team.
Gold medals awarded for ties in sleeping finals.
--------------------------------------------------
The Yin Yang sleeping positions were a spectacular finish to the Mixed doubles Sleeping Competition. The Y/Y position had never been attempted in international competition before-the judges were suitably impressed by the coordination, and physical strength that both teammates exhibited during the finals.
Chester and Amy were able to tie the winners with a last second
snore/purr that left the judges with no other option than to award a double gold in the event.
Gold awarded in cart pulling
-----------------------------------
Dusty, the cart pulling cat, won the 100 meter cart pull last night.
Both cat and cart raced down the track at a world record pace! Dusty also won the silver and bronze since there were no other competitors.
Mixed Doubles Sitting Finals
----------------------------------
The USA team, also known as the 'E Team' performed a difficult
Stairway Sit to capture the first medal in Cat lympic history in the premiere of this event.
More recaps to follow.

After that tussle, Peaches escaped to Paris to "unwind" and was last seen ontop of the Cathedral of Notre Dame hanging out with the gargoyles...

Oh, I'm so proud of my girl! Olympic gold! She has worked so hard for this goal. All that kibble; all that steak; all that chicken; the years of sticking her head in everyone else's bowl and slowly moving across until there is no room for them anymore; the sheer dedication involved in body-swerving the light food - all for this moment. She has been a little emotional and simply refuses to take off her medal.

Oh Samantha, aren't you just the height of fashion with your gold medal! You so deserve it and I wouldn't take it off either! Enjoy sweetie, because like your meowmy says, you've earned it. :D
And congratulations to all the other gold medal winners out there too! I think Dusty definitely deserves gold in the cart pulling. I don't know of any other cats that could even compete! But Laura, how in world did your son and his family misplace the cart in the move?! Dusty must be devasted. After all, how can he win the medal if he doesn't have a cart to pull? :(

My son has also taken a new job that requries him to travel and work some long hours. I don't think they have completely unpacked everything.... He had to hunt and hunt for the program to his camera to get that back on the computer... (for the pic's of Princess) RULE #1 (if you own a computer) The computer MUST be FIXED!...all else is so small that it does not matter.
They are not sure what happened to it in the move... Don't worry, the search is on for another.

I want to apologize to everyone for not having a CatOlympics thread this year.
Because of some personal stuff I really didn't have my heart in it.
I do like the Giz purse diving video. Looks like fun!
