Perhaps a night light and crate training might be in order.... I know dogs like crates that are mostly covered,, kinda like a bird cage,,,, its a secure cave like place for them... Our Dobie loves her crate and whined at first every night til we place a cover on it,,, We keep a aprt of it open for air of course,, since then,, sleeps like a baby....

Maybe a clock,, the old ticking type in a shirt that smells like you wrapped inside in the crate might help,,, Reminds them of mommys heartbeat ,, very comforting.....
