Hope you wont get bored of those my Icelandic horse photos.. LOL.. Well, these photos are taken in differnet places, some of them are from that trip around Iceland in middle of July Oh, and I know I promised you to share photos of that trip, and I'm working on it, because it takes so long time to upload them in album and then put them here....

These horses we met in our trip, we were sleeping in tents near their paddocks...They were quite wild, first when they met us, they were afraid of us ...but later we became friends....

When we went to place called Gjain - where are 5 waterfalls we met some riders with whole pack og horses. Those riders were moving horses from one place to other.. Like cowboys did/do it in America....

Those are some aboslutely stunning horses!! Makes me miss all the time I spent riding when I was younger. I for one can't get sick of the pics! :)

I love all those horses! The first one looks kind of like Flair as a miniature. What fun you must have had. You're lucky being so young to have a great adventure like that. It was also great seeing those cowboys. That would be so much fun. I wish I could just run away with Duke and Flair and live that kind of life.

Oh how I love these horses, and to see them in their native Iceland is just a wonderous sight. One of these days I should post a few pictures of the Icelandic horses that my boss and his daughter rode in Wisconsin a couple years ago.

Question: What defines a horse from a pony? Is is strictly size or breed?

Those horses have to be the cutest horses ever. How tall are they exactly?

I admit I'm a bit nervous around horses because they're so LARGE.. I think i'd be better around these guys cause they look smaller. ;)

Rachel - actually I think it's size - ponies are under 148cm and horses are over 148cm.. But Icelandic horses are under 148cm thought...I'm not sure why they're called horses not ponies :D
