Peaceful Purrs is down?!?!

I just received notice that Peaceful Purrs will be "turned off" due to excesive traffic and data transfer?! :(

It's only suppose to last a few days but this makes no sense to me! Any computer buffs out there to translate for me?

Casper, Kitty...it may take a lil' bit longer than usual to post your pics...sorry :( :( :(

hi ya! blame geocities!!! they say that you have too much traffic onto your site, that's why it's been closed down every now and then. Our friend had her cats homepage with geocities, and she got an email from them, that they have to shut down her page due to too much traffic! That's not true, she had about 3-5 visitors per day. Then the real reason is that the data transfer (or something like that) is too much per month, for geocities. So, you are going to have this problem for as long as you are with geocities. :(


How about doing a page with msn.com? Casper and Kitty has a simple page there, just pics, nothing more. And they give you 30 MB to use, so that's lots and lots of space, and lots and lots of pics :)

LOL Zippy, reading your posts always makes me smile :) So, what kind of computer didja get?? I just got a new one too....FINALLY!!!! I'm hoping that I can build a website for my babies soon and link it to yours and Pet Talk of course!!! ;) That does sound odd that geocities is going to shut down your site because of too much traffic? That just means it's a good one!! ;) :D :D :D If I find someplace better for you to post your site, I'll be sure to let you know ;)

Wow! 1.7ghz??? In the illustrious sounds of...Tim the "Toolman" Taylor..."Grunt, grunt, grunt...." LOL LOL :D :D Do you happen to have Front Page on your computer?? If you do, there is something called PWS (Personal Web Server), and you could just keep your entire website on your computer and use it as a web server! No need to hassle with geocities! Anyway...just a thought :) Love the website, girl! Great job! :)

BTW, I finally got our scanner hooked up last night, so I'll be scanning pics of Scooter then and now just for you! ;) Anyway, enjoy your new kick *** computer! ;) I ended up getting one from my company. It's a PIII, so that's cool! I'll take a free computer system anyday!LOL LOL!!!

I just got into Peaceful Purrs for just a megasecond before I had some problems. Now I can't get into into it again. This is an incredible site - I was really getting into the pictures of all your purry friends when BAM - it went off. Maybe I can get my lovebugs in there soon.

I just tried the site and got in. I noticed there has been 293 visitors. :D :D :D

I'm leaving today for my parents' house. I'll be back on Monday, then I'll check out some more webhosts/servers and what not. I chose Geocities cos it had less advertisements than the rest--thought you guys might appreciate that! lol

Wolflady~ Can't wait to see "my" Scooter smilin' at me! lol ;) And I'll check to see if I have that PWS thing on my 'puter.
