Meowmy earns a 'durty' look from Livvy

Hi all,

We're having a hot spell here and I thought I'd give the cats a treat -- dumped a couple dozen ice cubes in their fountain. By chance, Livvy was the first to try it out and it turns out she does NOT appreciate her precious nose getting bumpied by icy cold rocks in her water! I got the dirtiest look from her till they melted... what kind of weird torture was I thinking of, anyway?

I could just imagine the look that you got from Livvy because she thought that you were trying to torture her.:D:D:D

I also got some wierd looks from my coworkers, for laughing out loud while I was alone in my cube.:eek:

LOL! I wonder if animals have the same appreciation for cold water we do??? The E's like water that has been standing....like in the humidifier...and never seem to appreciate the ice cubes I put in thier fountain either.

Maybe it's what they get used to? Now Cassy likes to bat them around like hockey pucks, too. If HE'd been the first to the fountain...

Poor Livvy! I'm sure I remember reading that cats tend not to like very cold water. Certainly ours would much rather drink out of a filthy puddle than out of the lovely clean bowls I put down for them. :rolleyes:
