Hallie has been causing trouble again....

We were playing with one of her toys that has (had!) bells on it. She managed to break the toy and the bells came off. I found one immediately but Hallie found the other one first! I tried to get it from her but she ran off and swalloed it.

This resulted in a call to the white coats...they said the only danger would be blockage. So now I know symptoms to watch for and I have the emergency vet number.

Hallie seems to be fine, but now I have to look for the "evidence" that the bell has passed. At least it is bright pink !!!

The day before all this started I had made an appointment at the vet for a yearly checkup......

I refuse to buy any cat toys that have stuff hanging from them. Reese swallowed a small fabric ball on the end of a mouse tail - luckily she puked it right back up.

I don't even like getting toys with a bell inside - two of our boys could tear those things apart in a minute. and it's one thing if it's just catnip inside - another matter is it's a bell.
