OMG if U have a pug TELL me about it. I have a pug, Zeus, and he was sooooooo hard to potty train and pugs get sooo many allergy/skin problems and we give him meds and baths with special shampoo and all that good stuff but it seems that every time a problem gets better another one starts. I guess he's really lucky he's cute.:D

I have 2 dachshund/pug mix. One is half/half.. the other is 3/4 dachshund, and 1/4 pug.
They definitely have skin problems, but when I was talking to someone that has dealt with demodex mange (the kind thats not contagious) all of their dogs life, they said that dachshunds and pugs usually get it, along with other skin problems, so I got the raw end of the deal with them... :p
The older one, Annie, used to have a lot of problems with her skin, but I got it under control now by doing the frequent baths in the stuff that the person told me to bathe her in. It also helped to feed her a certain list of foods that I was given.
Also, both pugs and dachshunds are very hard to housetrain, so you can imagine what we are going through with Bailee (the younger one). She's sooooo stubborn, and we still have a hard time with her being completely trained not to go in the house. Annie is really smart, so she picked up on it pretty quickly.

My grandpa has a pug. He doesn't have any skin problems or housetraining problems. He also doesn't have any breathing problems.
His major problem is that he is extremely overweight, but I haven't had any luck with getting my grandparents to cut back his food.

yes, her Annie is 1/2 pug and 1/2 dachshund. Bailey is her daughter. Annie was bred to a dachshund, so Bailey is 3/4 dachshund and 1/4 pug.
(as she said before)

I don't have a pug, but I recently fostered and trained one. She was very smart and so cute. She was rather easy to house train, we kept her on a strict schedule. I taught her "go pee pee" and she would go find a place to pee and poo. We gave her a treat after she went potty. We also crated her at night and while we were out of the house.
I only had her a few weeks and in that time she learned "go pee pee", "calm", "here", "sit", "stay".
Just work with him and keep him on a schedule, he will learn.
