They are really doing a number on the poor mama! I'm supplimenting her with extra treats etc. I can't believe such a tiny little thing could have six babies! :eek: :eek: :eek:

Oh my gosh!!! They are so extremely adorable ... and look at those fat tummies! Momma's definitely keeping them full. hehehe

We had 3 kittens brought back in the shelter, BEAUTIFUL black and whites, medium length fur that 2 of them had those extra toes that were just stunning... The same lady that brought them in came back and got those 2 about a hour later.... She had to pay to get them.....for something only a hour before, she was throwing away?? That poor single one that she left is SO depressed without its sisters...

Everyone else is putting dibs on the kittens....but alas, you're a long way away from me MCM! She is a cute little tortie girl! I'll need a really big slingshot to send her to you!:D :D :D I'm naming her Bindi after her red spot on her forehead. A bindi is what women from India have. I named a darling cat who was adopted out some years back Bindi. I get an Xmas card every year from her and her adoring slave Al.:D

to let you handle them like that even momentarily! Was she at all nervous? She's definately keeping an eye on you and her babies! Good girl! These poor kittens were from the wood pile and would have drowned the night of the rains, good timing- no one is sneezing, right?

Poor Leslie...even you can't keep up with me! The woodpile babies are the three orange & white boys, and the brown fluff ball sister. These are from an overgrown yard on the other side of the city. Mom cat I hear, had only recently shown up in the yard and is only a baby herself. Mary (who called me about them) put them in a box, and then had to get to work. Mom cat luckily didn't mind them being picked up and put into the box, and settled in and took care of them until I showed up. You are right about the rain...it poured right after I got this litter as it had when I got the Highlands woodpile gang! Not to be confused with the mama you helped me catch the older kittens of. Geesh....I'm starting to confuse myself now! :eek: :rolleyes: :eek: I'm watching the newborns eyes as they have been exposed to such damp nasty weather outside, and though it looked as though there'd be some eyes gummed shut...so far so good!;)

Yes, Sammy was a very young baby when we got him and we had kittens around when I was growing up but I don't count that. All my others, with the exception of Magoo, were born close to my house and I had them in usually by the time they were 4 to 5 months old. They just took so long to become cuddly and they are very different from your regular tame housecats kittens. They are inbred to be leary so they take years if ever to become really comfortable. I just crave the crazy kitten that likes to be held, played with, snuggled, and not scared everytime you move!!!
