When its time for me to get another pet, I think I would like some type of Lop rabbit. Like a mini Lop, Holland Lop, etc. Which one (out of any lop) Do you think is the best?

I think it really depends on what size you want it. Holland lops are the smallest, Mini lops are a little bit bigger. I personally like Mini lops, I think they are the perfect size.

I would like a smaller rabbit. Holland Lops and Mini Lops are basicly my first choice so far.

When you are ready, I'd check with the local rabbit rescue folks and see what they have available! You never can predict with whom you'll fall in love!

Of both Mini Lops and Holland Lops, I'd say Holland Lops. I've got 5, and they are a wonderful breed. All of my Hollands have very different personalities, some are lazy, very curious, affectionate, or very active! :) A very fun breed that I highly recommend, they usually are between 3-4 lbs and come in a rainbow of colors. If you need anymore info on the breed don't hesitate to ask.
Mini Lops are nice too though, I've got several friends who have them. They are to my knowledge a bit more lazy than a Holland Lop and slightly larger weight 5-7 lbs.

I also agree with Karen though, a rescue rabbit is always a good idea too! :) Keep all options open.
holland or mini lol I have a holland the size of a mini.. if that makes sence lol I wanted a holland lop so my mom kept going to the shelter regularly behind my back till a holland showed up then she brought me to the shelter the next day to meet the bunny and well she came home with me lol she was exactly what I wanted although bigger then I expected lol I had to get her a new kennel I fegered a small cat carrier would be large enugh lol nopeshe just barley fit, so she now has a medium sized cat carrier. lol she often looks smaller then she is er until you put her next to something big lol

Cali that really looks like a Mini Lop to me. Sometimes shelters aren't too sure of the breed so they might have just assumed it was a Holland. Not that it matters though, I'm sure you love her no matter what :)

Cali- You keep Kari in a cat carrier?????
I have a wonderful Holland Lop named Julian. One hting I do have to say is if you want a longer haired rabbit you NEED to be willing to brush EVERY day. Julian is brushed constantly. Hairballs are a big problem so brushing and hay is a big part of owning a rabbit. There are some wonderful websites about rabbit care. Holland Lops require ALOT of grooming. I pull out as much hair out of Julian's cage in one day that I pull off my dog in a WEEK.

of coarse not lol she just HAS a cat carrier she lives in a large pen :p UAbasoon I know kari is a holland not a mini because I know where she came from before the shelter, her dad is a normal holland he mom is oversized and looks just like kari exept for solid orange onstead of broken. this is her mom
and a head shot of Kari so you can see how much she look like her mom

Thanks for all your info!
I'm not ready to get a new addition to my family just yet, though. I was planning at look at some shelters, I've looked at petfinder.org a lot. I just fell in love with the Lops, but I would basicly like any rabbit!

I have a holland lop and had a mini and I would say the Holland :) He is the sweetest thing with a great personality, not to mention he only weighes 2 and a half lbs so he can really be the "lap bunny" that he wants to be:rolleyes: hehe
I had a Holland Lop named Floppy(RB) he was a very sweet little bun-bun. He was the cutest little thing. He liked to be held also.
I don't have any experience with Mini Lops.

I would say holland lop. I have one and she is the sweetest thing!!! They are known to be the calmest rabbits. You really should choose what you believe is best for you, but I reccomend a Holland.

I think I decided!
I think when I do get a rabbit it would be a Holland Lop. I held one at the petstore at it was just the sweetest thing in the world! It fell asleep in my hands and was just so cute!
