Remember the beautiful cat I posted at that came into the shelter the other day. (will repost) Well, she was not doing well with shelter life. Always huddled into a corner, wide eyed and frightened, not eating... Since this is a long week end, I asked my boss if I could being her home for the week end and she said I could. She is just so beautiful and frightened that it broke my heart. She is a girl of a spolied and pampered life and so beneath her to be in a cage so I HAD to bring her home!
I could not believe the transformation in her in a "home" inviroment. She checked out the room I put her in and then came right to me for loving, petting and all the attention she deserved and she was very Demanding about it too.. She is so sweet and affectionate that you can see she is just a lost baby and needs her Mommie. It was like watching a flower bloom, right in front of your eyes and it was beautiful! Naturally I have to callher something so I call her Princess since she seems to be "Royality" and she has so much fur, I don't even know if she is a "she" or she is a "he"... SO! I reckon I am fostering her until I go back to work or we find her owners...
Without further a-do, here is Her Royal "Princess"!

Everyone, Please say prayers that we can find her owners this week end or next week.. As beautiful as she is and as much as I would love to foster her... she needs to be reunited with her humans!

She was just showing you how grateful she was for being out of that cage. Bless you for taking this poor frightened girl home to foster.
I hope and pray that she can be reunited with her family.

I have seen the eyes of fear turn into the eyes of trust, and it is a wonderful feeling. You did Princess a loving service by fostering her and allowing her fears to subside.

This is too beautiful of a lady to be locked in those cold cages. I only hope we find her owners. (We are neighbors and work in the same shelter). She can only blossom under your sweet gentle care. You are an exceptional lady and I am proud to have you as my friend, neighbor and fellow cat lover.

I have gone in and spent time with her and discovered she LOVES to be groomed! Lucky's Mom had a brush I could use and she was in heaven being brushed, making sure I did not miss ANYTHING! (Even giving me the one eye salute to make sure I got THAT part too!) She actually DROOLS when you groom her because she enjoys it so..
Needless to say, Chester, Amy and Giz are NOT at all happy about this new developement and Midnight wants back in HER room!
I am making Lost Cat posters and hope to get them around town and plan to watch the newspapers for lost cat adds in hopes of reuniting her with her loved ones. Will see if PetCo and Pet Smart will let me post some there tomorrow and maybe catch a few vets open and post some in those. I know if I keep her to long...... NO! I CAN NOT HAVE ANOTHER CAT, I CAN NOT HAVE ANOTHER CAT, I CAN NOT HAVE ANOTHER CAT! I CAN NOT......

Oh Laura she is such a beauty! Look at the difference you have made already just by bringing her home. Her eyes are so trusting in you already! She knows she is in the home of an Angel!! I will be praying that she somehow just got lost and her purrents are frantically looking for her! She just has to belong in a loving and kind home or it would break my heart!
Is she a "bunny butt" or was her tail just tucked around in that one picture?
She has the most beautiful eyes! Anyone should be proud to have that sweety in their home!

She's beautiful and she looks like she trust you very much.
Well that didn't take you long. I just wondered how long you would be at the shelter before wanting to take one home, LOL!!! I know you are just helping her for the weekend and I think that is wonderful.

Hi Laura - sure you can have another cat. She is a beauty. What's one more when you already get cat food, litter, etc. for the others? I commend you for being so kindhearted. I'm searching for more cats (and a way to sneak them home past the hubby)! I passed by a farm the other day with a sign out that said "free kittens" and I thought about getting one and just putting it in the yard and "acting" like I had found it! You go girl! :)

"NO! I CAN NOT HAVE ANOTHER CAT, I CAN NOT HAVE ANOTHER CAT, I CAN NOT HAVE ANOTHER CAT! I CAN NOT...... "
That's what I said before I found Joey. He was sick & injured
and so tiny.:( Even when nursed back to health, I knew he
didn't have a chance in heck of making it on his own outside,
so......Now I've got five kitties. He's been with me for over a
year now & all's well.:D I sure hope 5 is the magic number.:)

Oh Laura - She's such a beauty - I hope her Meowmie sees your posters and comes running to claim her wonderful furry Princess - who has so much love and purring in her.
Fingers crossed.

Aww she is really pretty. And she's already fallen for you. I'm thinking if she's so eager to be loved, maybe someone just lost her on accident. But if you can't find the owner, we-ell all I can say is you sure make a good meowmie!!
No pressure, I'm really just chiding you - I know that it would be a difficult decision.

The shelter got her when a "complaint" was called in about a cat on a car and the animal controll officer went and picked her up. I think she sneaked out of the house un-noticed or got away and ran off. She was well cared for when we got her, well fed, nails recently clipped and just Royal looking. I think those days in the shelter scared her so bad that she is completely grateful to just be out of that joint! NOW, my fear is that she get TO attached to me and we don't find her owners.. I am going to see if the shelter can find a permant foster for her when we open Tuesday. It is just to cruel to get her settled in here, then I have to go back to work on the 21st and leave her with strangers then.
I put out posters some today and stopped by my vets to see if they knew her.. They did not but they let me put up a poster there too. I am frantically searching for her Mommie so I can get her back home.. Even posted on a few web sights..

Wow... that is one gorgeous cat! It's so great that there are "suckers" like you out there. ;) I'm glad she's coming back out of her shell...

If animal control picked her up, they must have a record of where that was - plaster that area with posters - AND - if you see neighbors out, ask if they know anyone who recently moved. Cats sometimes get frightened and slip out during the moving process, and as we're so close to the beginning of the month, maybe she was one of those. Poor kitty - she sure does seem like she was someone's beloved!

Stunning kitty! I also thought she was a bunny butt (and read that she is). Does the shelter have a scanner to check for a microchip? It's a thought...or call area vets to see if they can scan her. Such an exotic looking himmi x that's well cared for must have someone looking for her. Karen beat me to the other thought of ACO records! ;)
