Tawny has arrived safely!

I met Tif (Crimsonobsession) and her mother today and picked up her precious 13 year old, Tawny! It was a tearful event, Tif was very heartbroken to have to leave her beloved kitty, but I tried to reassure her that I would take the best care possible of sweet Tawny. I know it is terribly hard on her to have to leave her, and my heart breaks for her. :(

I brought Tawny in quietly and set her up in my bathroom with all of her things from home. I have just a small lamp on, to add some soft light, and I am just going to let her calm down by herself for a while. ;)

Here are a couple of pics I took of Tif saying her temporary "goodbyes" to Tawny. ;)

OMG! That is so heartbreaking!!! I can't imagine how she must feel.

I know I missed something because I don't know why you have Tawny. I swear these threads are moving around faster than I can keep up!!

Whatever the story is my heart is hurting for TIF.

Of course we all knwo that Tawny is in the most capable hands and will recieve lots of love. She is a beautiful kitty!

Thank you so much for being a kitty-angel-on-earth! I could not imagine a better person to care for sweet Tawny until her momma can take her back.

Awww....I feel so sad for Tif, but I know Tawny is in the best hands ever, and the good news is that once she gets settled she'll be able to be reunited with Tawny.

I know Tawny is going to be heart broken too, if there was only some way to help explain to her that it's only temporary and her meowmy isn't really abandoning her.

Thanks Kim, for being a good friend to someone you don't even know. You really are the best. :D

Thank you for the nice words, but I would want someone to do the same for me, if I ever found myself in this situation!;)

Tawny rested quietly for about an hour, then I heard her walking about in the bathroom. I went in and she rubbed all against me and I petted her very well!:D She is a very gentle, sweet girl .. just like her mommy said!;)

I packing up a caravan of kitties from here, and sharing the wealth LOL! If all goes well they should arrive within a week or so. Do you have room for about 15-20? :eek: :confused: :D :p :) Just kidding..I'm moving them through the revolving doors here at a pretty decent pace. So glad you are able to help out Tawny & Tif out of what could have been a heartbreaking ending. ;)

How sad for TIF to have to leave her pretty girl Tawny. But on the other hand, she must feel relieved knowing she will be in good hands with you Kim.

Hey Kim! Thank you so much for this, you're even quicker than I'd hoped :D. It feels good to see the pics, good in that bittersweet way. I miss her already, so much, but I'm SO happy that she's dealing so far. Glad she warmed up to you so quickly too, when it comes to people she either loves you immediately or hides from you for the rest of your acquaintance it seems. I know she's gonna like it there, and I hope she gets to love all the other cats. She probably won't wanna leave when I come for her XD.

Do you know if she's been sleeping on her blanket? Did she drink and eat when she got there? I tried to get her to drink some water on the trip but she was too scared I guess, poor baby ;_; She was probably super thirsty when you got her home.

I'm gonna sign off now; I've gotta lot of stuff left to do before the plane ride tomorrow, and I'm just really drained from today, physically and emotionally. I think I'll probably be crying a lot more tears before the week is out, but it helps a lot knowing Tawny's gonna be taken good care of. I'm also gonna try what some people suggested, and look for a place in CA she could be sent to soon, so I could visit her. Please let me know how she handled her first night without me, and let me know if there's anything at all I can do for her or you! And thank you again, so much. I don't know what I would've done without you, this has made this easier than it might've been. [hugs all around]

That is so kind,and generous of you , to take in Tawny,and I hope that she adjusts to yoiur New Home.When I took Sheba in, she never ger get comfortable,as she missed my Aunt,and Uncle,too much,as well as her Companion Siamese Friend!
