My 3 month old Chow Mix, Isabella, has a biting problem. She is a very intelligent dog and has learned sit, down and comes when I call. However, her constant nipping is getting quite bothersome. I have tried every bit of advice everyone has given me, and it just doesn't seem to be getting any better. I've tried the "Ouch" method, ignoring her, putting her in her crate and scruffing her. Everything only seems to make her want to do it more. I think she is deliberately ignoring me. I worry that she's never going to quit and that she's going to bite someone else! She attacked my mom's feet the other day when she went outside and left some pretty nasty scratches from her sharp little teeth. Anyone have any other suggestions I could try? I'm running out of ideas! Other than this one problem, she's a wonderful dog.

P.S. She actually LIKES the taste of Bitter Apple and licks it off my hands when I spray it on, then she goes back to biting :( .

She is young, she will learn. Almost all pups go through this stage.

You need to pick one method and stick with it. Consistency is key. Probably a sharp "No!" and replacing your hand with a chew toy would work if you were very - doggedly - consistent. Keep lots of "okay-to-chew" toys around, so there is always one handy.

She may be stubborn, you just have to be MORE stubborn!

Could she possibly be teething? My dog would bite a lot when she was losing her baby teeth. Try getting lots of toys that are good for puppies who like to chew. Freezing carrots and giving them to her might work, my dog liked it.
