I don't know where this came from but I thought it was neat. You didn't have to post a tour if you didn't want to. I really liked getting to see how people live in other places and it does make you feel like you know each person a little better.
It's all about home, love, and ANIMALS!!! We were really just showing where the PT critters live!!!http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/biggrin.gif Although I got yelled at because enough of my critters weren't in the pictures!http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/rolleyes.gif http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/wink.gif

I have been to busy trying to catch up on the fur kids here to take time to look at the homes they live in.. Just the fact that they have a home is enough... No matter how it looks!! I did look at one or two of them but I am still on the old fashioned dial up and it takes so long for them to load... need I say more?
I personally do not judge anyone by the house they live in because I myself, do not need fine and fancy. if I had the chance to buy what I wanted, I love the old homes... I am facinated by OLD stuff and I would furnish my old house with OLD stuff! But if you like modern and new, That is what makes the world so interesting.. All the different styles and differances in us all!

OH good grief! This was not a contest and no one had to participate if they didn't want to. It was fun and there's NO need to apologize! It was fun to see where all our cat friends live, the different country sides etc. I think your idea was great!

Couldn't have said it better, Laura! I haven't had a chance to read the other thread yet, but I can't believe that someone got the wrong idea about this whole thing. I thought it was wonderful to be able to "visit" everyone since we can't do it in person. We're much more than an internet bulletin board here, we're family, and seeing others' homes is part of getting to know someone better which strengthens the "familiness" of what we have here.
No one should judge or be judged. Everyone lives with different circumstances and we all do the best we can with what we've been fortunate enough have. No one should feel belittled or put down because their home may not be as "nice" as someone else's because first of all - who determines what is "nice?" Everyone has different tastes and abilities. I for one, have no decorating ability whatsoever, and that is why I live in a white house. ;)
Kim, you had a wonderful idea and the majority of us really enjoyed the tours. I'm just sorry someone has such a low self esteem that they have to spoil it for all of us.
Anyway, I'm off to the other thread where I'm sure I'll have an opinion too. :p

Kim: I'm sorry if someone interpreted this wonderful thread as some sort of competition. I never saw it that way and I have been LOVING seeing the homes. The important thing is that we all love our babies and cater to their every need. Right?
If it is a contest, here are my entries for the "worst cat house":

Seriously, when I borrow a digital camera from someone, I'll take some pictures of our real home. Our "shack in the woods" was Kuhio's favorite place on earth. She didn't care that it was just a shack, she just cared that she was loved.
