Yay...My girls were a hit this morning at the Relay for Life Pet Parade. Alden and I took both the pups this morning. We signed up for the Pet Parade and a couple of judges came over to look and pet them and ask a few questions, just basically their names, ages and what breed. They had their pictures taken and then we take a walk around the Relay for Life track and people watch our doggies and ooohhh and awww. You know me. I LOVED IT!...hehehe. Then when we got back to the grandstand they gave out little awards. Katie won for "Curliest Tail". Tori won for "Most Hyper". LOL....It was so cute! That Tori might not have been Most Hyper at the dog park but let me tell you she is really taking on her own personality now. She has to bark and whimper and whine at all the doggies and pull, pull, pull and climb all over the people. She is something else! They had all kinds of cute little titles like that. I remember one was "Best Manners" and that went to a pretty golden. I think the big winner was a Boxer who was a Cancer survivor himself and he was a beauty. Alden and I are the ones who got the prizes. We each got a Relay For Life Tshirt. There were not that many people left this morning seeing how they had some rain during the night (its an all night event) and rain this morning, but me and Alden sure did have a good time. You would not believe all the people coming up to us to see our dogs. We were so proud. They loved Tori and her blue eyes but mostly people seemed to want to see Katie and know all about her and Katie was just the best. Very well behaved. We saw lots and lots of doggies and all I could think about was Pet Talk and how you all would have loved it! There were mixed breeds, tons of goldens, a beautiful stunning yellow lab named Benjiman that I loved, a gorgeous Rottie named Sampson who was so sweet and had the best personality and he and Katie really seemed to click. Oh my gosh, there was the cutest and I mean cutest papillion, Abby, who I would have loved to have snuck home with me and her little sister an aussie terrier, Sydney. They were adorable. There was a cute little Westie pup who was 11 weeks old and an sweet little orange tabby kitten and even someone carrying around a little critter cage and I never did get to see what was in there. Have you figured out that I was in heaven!!!!....LOL.
The really sad and depressing part is that I have NO pictures! I took quite a few pics last night and when I came home all it said was picture error and I still couldn't get it to work this morning. I am so depressed about this. I am extremely addicted to my camera and just don't know what to do without it. :( :( I will have to play with it some more and maybe even take it to the camera shop. So Depressing!!
Well, I'm sure I have bored everyone by now as I have been quite windy. I hope some of you have enjoyed my thread...hehehe.
Robin :) :D
P.S...I was also lucky enough to win the 50/50 jackpot! I was thrilled. Since it was a cause that I believe in and have had to deal with the disease myself, I immediately turned the money back over to the American Cancer Society. May we someday find the cure for this dreaded and heartbreaking disease!
