Because enquiring minds want to know!!! :D

Just keep in mind, this is the hardest room to keep clean .... and especially hard to keep toys and cat trees "new"!!!

Hubby built this enclosure in our garage so that we could have a play area to separate some of the kitties who don't get along with others ... you will notice a small "run" on the end. This is used for anyone who is new and needing to be introduced slowly, or injured, etc.....

Not all of the kitties stay in the enclosure. It is mostly used for Harper, Hallie and Smokey .... the "trio" siblings who like to boss everyone else around. They are notorious for attacking the others, and whenever they come into the house, they are very ready to go back out to THEIR cat room! It is their private den! However, they will allow a few of the others to visit their den but not many of them! My feral girls, Bonnie and Emma enjoy staying on the outside of the enclosure and lurking about the outside and taunting Hallie Harper and Smokey! ;) Of course, some of the others like Angel and Pee Wee and Dexter love to visit the cat room too, and use it as a jungle gym! As you see here with Pee Wee! :D

I laid down these flooring tiles to make clean up easier in the Cat Room ... they are just the peel and stick kind, and I'm so glad I did this! Here is Harper!

Here is a view of some of the toys I have hung to play with and the "remains" of one of the 3 cat trees. You can see a bit of sweet Marmy on one of the built-in perches!

Another cat tree, toy, and perch with Emma lurking outside!

Here you see Smokey Pokey playing with one of the spring toys, while Pee Wee tries to get into the game from above! :D next ...

Nope, PIF ... mine is just in the garage .... maybe you are thinking of someone else? Of course we do have our back yard privacy fenced, and it has a special cat topper we made to keep anyone from climbing out, or strays from climbing in. Hmmm.... don't think I have a good pic of that, off with the camera I go!;)

Looks like the cats have more of the garage than the cars! Lucky kitties.

Do they really like staying in cages most of the day?

I am going to post a brief response to your statement, mnmmichael..... they are well treated, loved, fed, played with, and let out of their "cages" regularly!

Did you even bother to read anything I posted? I do CAT RESCUE, I currently have 16 cats in my care. I have taken in and homed over 75 cats .... some of them HAVE to spend brief moments in "cages". It sure beats the heck out of dying on the streets of hunger, abuse or disease... or being put to death in a "shelter"!

End of subject!

It's looking like they're having a lot of space in that cage, much more than most shelters could offer them. Thanks for being such a good foster mommy to them!

Hi Cat Room! I wouldn't mind spending some time in there with you guys. Kim, I can't remember..do you open the garage door sometimes? I thought you did...not that I think you **should**...just trying to keep my facts straight.

Can you (or your husband) come up here and build a cat enclosure for me on my covered patio? The cats would go WILD!

Kim, thanks for showing your cat room. That is pretty amazing. Now I see some of how you manage to help so many kitties.

Your husband must be committed to the cause to give up that much of his garage.:D

What a nice cat room. It sure is a good idea to have to seperate some of the kitties.
