Does anyone know how long it takes to get your dog or cat to be pet of the day?? i sent my beautiful lab's pic and stuff like a year ago, and still shes not up. The pic was clear and good..i think anyway..they should put everyone who submits up! i'm hurt they haven't picked my dog who means the world to me :(

Well, you are not the first to voice those plantiff wails!! :) I think Karen will probably jump in here soon and explain the process. There are SO many submissions for this great honor! And, it may take a while for your baby to get her turn in the spotlight. We all have to wait our turn!ugh!But, try to be patient! And may I say, as the mom of a lab myself, and a very sensitive one at that, I feel your pain! I am sure your labbie is a very special, beautiful girl. PLEASE don't take it personally!! I'm sure she'll have her turn. In the meantime, why not join us on the "board" and let us all get to know you and your pup? We love to post pics here and ooooh and aaaah over each other's pets! And Sarah and I need some company on this virtually lab-free board!! :D

There is no definite time it takes - it is not on a first-come, first-served basis. We do know every pet is special - that's the whole point of this family of websites! We try to vary breeds, kind, ages, and stories, and not show a bias toward any particular breed or kind of pet. They're ALL special, as I'm sure your labby is. All nominated pets who have a good, clear photo and all the other information we ask go into, basically, a "pool" of candidates, from whom we chose. I will double check to make sure your nomination was received this evening, and will email you.

Hi again. To add your signature, click on the "profile" icon in the bar just above your reply. From there, click on "my profile" in the upper right hand corner. Then, on the NEXT screen :D, to the left, click on "update my profile." Scoll down to the signature portion. In that box, you can add a phrase, picture or pictures, etc! Wish I knew why your pics aren't showing! Maybe Phred the "Picture Professor" will step in here! Sandra
