I have a new foster. He was taken from a hoarding situation over a year ago. He lost his foster home and has not yet found his forever home. So in steps Jen.

He is a cross who has snowshoe Siamese in him. You can see it in his BLUE eyes and his somewhat pointy nose and you can hear it in his meow.

This picture is a bit blurry, but the shooting under the couch is not the easiest thing in the world to do.

He is shy, no doubt due to the lack of socialization he received at the hands of his hoarder.

meet Rhett!

That's the first thing I noticed Jen, the big white tipped tail.
Rhett is adorable and like others have said, if anyone can help him out of his shyness, YOU can Jen.
Good luck with this fella and keep us posted on his progress.

Why Rhett Butlah, You scoundrel you! No hidin undah the couches now! Miz Scahlet and Miz Melonie ah awaitin yoh chahms and good graces!

(I tried to type that in a deep south accent but it's not possible!). Anyway, keep up the good work- have you tried caging him so you can force the petting on him? Will he be up for adoption at some point in the future?

have you tried caging him so you can force the petting on him?

I was told that he is hard to crate, so instead of trying to force him in a cage I just lay on the floor and pet him under the sofa. He really does love to be petted :)

And he is avaiable for adoption. (actually, he HAS been available for adoption for a little over a year now, but no takers) :(

Rhett sure is gorgeous. I'm so glad that he's in your care now. Hopefully he'll find just the right loving forever home soon.:)
