A friend of mine (I met him in a Star Trek club, ok ok Ive said it before but Im a nerd) is in the hospital. He had some sort of heart attack thing (I can't get any info since Im not "Family" grumble grumble stupid hospital) all they said is that he is in ICU and that he went through cardiac arrest and they won't let me in to see him EITHER. He is disabled and in a wheelchair (He was born with MS I believe) and had JUST gotten a wheelchair he can operate himself (any independence is really important to him). He is a sweet guy who is great to talk to (way smarter than me sometimes lol) I really wish the best for him. He had just gotten off of the resperator too :( He was doing so well and now its gotten worse again. This is soooo sad. I know the power of prayer and I ask you guys to send positve thoughts. If God wants to call him home I understand but I just don't like to see a friend suffer.

Wish him the absolute best!!!

Having a husband who suffered two heart attacks not too long ago, I know a little of what the family is going through. I'll keep them in my prayers.

The only "Family" he has is my friend who is his caregiver and the rest of us in the club. His parents arent around (I don't know why) and he has no siblings. :( the hospital still insists upon being rude about it though. (That hospital is, it was a pain to see my MOTHER when she was there)

Oh gosh! Prayers and good vibes on the way. I'm sorry they won't tell you more at the hospital or let you see him. Geesh, they're not very nice :(

I'll be keeping your friend in my thoughts and prayers. What a caring friend he has in you:) He sounds like a very special person and hopefully, God's not ready to take him home yet. Please keep us updated. {{{HUGS}}} Sandra

Prayers and thoughts for your good friend - don't get angry with the hospital - just be there when he needs you.

It must be frustrating not to get to see him. They won't even let you call his room? I think I would go down there and see if I could find a family member, at least. Hope he feels better soon. I've got a cousin with MS. It's a bad thing to have to go through. Maybe you can at least get him a card for the family to give to him. And, I like the first Star Trek. Grew up watching it.

I know his caregiver gets to see him, perhaps I will send a message through her that all of us (and all of you, thank you guys) are thinking about him and hoping he gets well. I haven't heard anything yet today, but hopefully she (his caregiver) will call while I am at work. I'll keep you guys updated...

I'm used to the hospital (the whole northern nevada health system is all the same way). When I was in, they wouldn't let my parents in to see me until dad had a big fit. (dad is good at that lol)

You are a good friend. Sure, I'll be praying for your friend, too. Hope his caretaker gets in touch with you, soon.
