I need to find a home for my two dogs Maddie and Bronco. Maddie is a malamute/wolf/??? mix, and Bronco is a Great Pyranese/Malamute mix. They are adorable and full of energy. I can't take care of them because I live in an apartment. My ex-husband kept the house and the dogs, but he doesn't want them anymore.

Does anyone know someone in Utah that might be interested in them?

Your dogs sound gorgeous. I'm sorry that you have to find them homes. :(

I wish I could take them but I live in an apartment too.

Have you tried any local rescues? Amy? Do you think Best Friends could help?

Good luck to you and your babies!!! I hope that you can find a rescue group to help you out, if you can't find homes for them yourself.

I live in Utah, but unfortunately there's no way I can take any more dogs. :(

Here's some places to try though

http://www.utahpets.org They have lists of many rescue groups in the state that may be able to help. http://www.petfinder.com You can put an advertisement for free (not the adoption listings, just a brief message, no pics)
http://www.utahdogs.com It's all about dogs in Utah, they have a rescue section and may be able to help.
http://www.bestfriends.org Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is the largest no-kill rescue in the nation. It's located in Kanab, UT (about 6 hours from SLC) You may try contacting them.

Best of luck to you! Oh, and those websites were just off the top of my head, if any of the links don't work let me know.

Renats, can you not take them because your apartment does not allow dogs or because they are very active and you don't think it'd be fair to them?

If it's the latter, would you be able to keep them, even if only for a short time while you talk to rescues? Is you ex threatening to dump them at a pound if you don't find them a home?

Is he willing to keep them until you find a new home for them?

Definately check out Amy's links. :) Good luck!

My ex said he has tried to find them a home. I was out of the country for 2 months, so I don't know if that is true. I live with a roommate who doesn't like dogs and the landlord doesn't want any pets there either. Plus the dogs are very active. They big too, Maddie is about 65 lbs, and Bronco is over 100lbs. I am contacting the rescues. I'm sure my ex wouldn't mind keeping them for another couple of weeks.

Thanks everyone!
