They live to be approximately 15 years old:)

The lifespan of a cow is 18 to 22 years old, although there are many reports of cows living past 25. The oldest cow was Big Bertha who lived to be 48 years old and give birth to over 30 calves- I think 32 to be exact. Their lifespan also depends on their housing conditions, previous health problems (have they ever gotten seriously ill?), and the breed- some breeds live a little longer than others. Also, if I remember correctly, dairy cows tend to live longer than beef cattle- or is it the other way around!? Ah, I am confusing myself.

Hmm...YYL is more educated than I am! 15 years is what I've been told, so I was just going on that;) But I also figured that different breeds would have different life spans, and the fact if they had been ill before.
