'Funky house cat' was wild
A woman who rescued what she thought was a 'funky looking house cat' lying stunned on a highway later discovered the animal was a wild bobcat that would have attacked her if it had woken up.
The unidentified rescuer picked up the 20-inch long animal after it had been hit by another vehicle near a state park, says the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
She took it in her car to a nearby animal hospital, where it was correctly identified and operated on.
When she was told what the animal actually was, she replied: "I thought it looked kinda strange."
Bobcats have powerful, muscular bodies, sharp claws, and three-quarter-inch long fangs.

Another California story..... :) ;)
