Maggie got bit!!??

I came home from my class trip to Minneapolis and my mom told me that Maggie may have gotten bit by Boo Boo. She doesnt know when it happend or how but thats what they thought happend.

My mom said it wasnt hurting her because when she touched it Maggie didnt cry or anything. When I got home and looked at it she started crying and carying on.

The bite is on her ear, on the inside. It is about an inch long and pretty deep. Yesterday it was pretty dry and looked like it was healing, but today it was open again, and crusty around the edge.



Is there anything we can do to help her??!:(

I'm sorry maggie! You should just keep it real clean and make sure she doesn't mess around with it. If you think it's really bad or if it gets worse then take her into the vet to make sure it doesn't get infected.

Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea for the vet to check her out, just in case? You might be able to prevent infection by getting her on antibiotics and knowing exactly what to put on the wound to help it heal.

Ditto to Logan's and Fallon's suggestions. Do keep it clean and dry but getting it checked out by the vet would be the best way to go. Give Maggie a hug for me, poor baby:( Feel better soon, sweetheart:)

I think it would be a good idea to have the vet check
the bite out. Wouldn't hurt to be on the safe side.

I will clean it and see about going to the vet, a vet is coming out on Friday, I will have her look at Maggies ear.
