Oh my, Lucky, you have quite a story to tell, don't you? And what a lovely, soft and fluffy kitty you are too! I wish I could pet you right now! And what a tale of human cruelty and human compassion is embodied in you! I hope your human companions receive many blessings for their loving care and tenderness in aiding you to heal your physical and emotional injuries.
And now you live as such a handsome fellow should, surrounded by love and companionship! Enjoy, my furry friend , you deserve it!

He has become a beautiful cat, surely appreciative of the kindness and good life he now has. Lucky reminds us of how many basically worthless human beings infest the world. At least he doesn't have to endure them anymore.

Lucky is such a handsome kitty! He is very grateful to have humans that love him. So many people are mean to animals, and this is reflected in how they treat people. Enjoy your special day, Lucky!
Thank you to the rescuer of Lucky. You have warmed me up and made the sunshine special today. Please give Lucky a hug from me every morning for the rest of his life. And please hug yourself every day from me - you are a lovely person.

Oh Lucky I'm so glad your story has such a happy ending, Congrats on COTD!!:)
Now here's a kitty with a very fitting name! Lucky you are! I just can't imagine anyone being mean to you or *gasp* kicking you! Thankfully you are now living as all kitties should, with lots of love, a full tummy and a little ray of sunshine to nap in. A true rags to riches story and I couldn't be happier for you! ;)

Lucky it is painful to read how abandoned and abused you were. Your rescuers were angels of patience allowing you to learn to trust humans again.. I am so glad that you now have a comfy chair, a full dish of food and so much love. I would love to pet you. Congratulations on being our truly, truly lucky Cat of the Day.

What a touching and heartwarming tale of rescue we are treated to this Sunday! Bless you and your son for your great caring and compassion, giving this dear and deserving kitty a home that will treasure and love him all the days of his life. Lucky's story is so similar to my beloved Satin's, now at the Rainbow Bridge. She was adopted by us through our vet and her tale was heartbreaking. She too was a homeless kitty, eeking out a meager existence as a "factory cat" in NYC. Most of the workers loved her and did what they could to keep her safe, warm and fed. Unfortunately, one cruel worker didn't like cats, and when she developed a UTI, he became so inscensed by her "accidents," that he kicked her across the floor, causing her to fly into some moving machinery. The injury done to her hind leg was so severe it had to be amputated, but that didn't keep "Tina," from enjoying life to the fullest. And amazingly, she never lost her love, trust and affection for all humans; and animals! Your beautiful, brave, amazing Lucky is truly a survivor and "lucky" indeed! His courage is an inspiration to us all. Though I'm sure you would agree, you and your family are the truly lucky ones:) Dear Lucky, we are so honored to crown you our very special Sunday Cat of the Day! I hope you and your wonderful familiy (including your furry siblings:)) enjoy a very happy day of celebration! Me and my furkids all send you love, hugs, purrrs and happy tail wags on your special day! Long and happy life to you precious Lucky!:)

You truly are lucky, and I'm happy for you. It really upsets me when people are so callous about "getting rid" of cats.

Lucky
What a handsome boy you are. It's hard to type right now because I'm all awash in tears about your cruel treatment. I wish I could give all the people who were mean to you a swift hard kick in the behind!!!!!! However, what goes around, comes around and life will eventually do it for me!
I'm so glad you have a wonderful loving family now and comfy home. It was so brave of you to overcome what you endured and learn to not only trust, but love your new family! You certainly deserve top honors today, sweetheart, as the special Cat of the Day!

What a moving story about you dear Lucky. God Bless your family for saving you from such idiotic fools. We always hear our Mom say "What goes around comes around" and we sincerely believe this is true. There is no good place for people who are cruel to defenseless animals. The future is already planned for these thoughtless individuals. You are such an incredibly beautiful kitty kat. Your family and you are so lucky to have each other. Bless all of you sweethearts!! You guys are our heroes!!! Enjoy today as our gloriously beautiful COTD and live every day to the fullest with your wonderful family. Always love your life like we do Mr. Lucky!!:) :)

Lucky you were indeed given the right name as you are one very lucky kitty, being rescued after those people treated you SO badly! It looks like you've grown to be one very beautiful (do I see some Maine Coon there?) kitty with a gorgeous plume of a tail. Enjoy your special day, you Lucky boy!

Oh my Lucky, the beginning of your story brought tears to my eyes. How heartless some people can be. I'm so glad that you were rescued and now have a loving forever home.
You are truly one handsome boy.
Congratulations sweetie on being our most deserving COTD.
Hope you get lots of special treats on your special day.

Lucky's people are lucky too, for the experience of knowing Lucky and witnessing the stupidity of cruel people. It will certainly be an experience they will grow from. I hope they can tell his story to anyone who will listen and inspire others to have more compassion for all creatures great and small. Peace and joy to Lucky and his people, and all those that his story can touch!
What a heart-warming tale - with such an awesome ending. People do often suck! We are so very happy and honored to meet lovely Lucky, and learn of the happy, warm and loving home you found after knowing the cruel outside world. You are a fine example of what dear treasures our "throwaways" really are!!
Congrats to Beautiful Lucky, for being Our Adorable Cat of the Day! :) :D :)

A story like Lucky's is good for the soul. It means so much to be reminded that there are caring people. It is people like Lucky's owners that make a difference in this world!

As a former domestic violence counselor, I wonder if anyone, even anonymously, has filed a police complaint against this man? Or these men, given the fact there are others like him mentioned here! There's a d@mned good chance he's/they're doing the same thing to his girlfriend or famly. (did you know every single instance of a serial killer on record has a history of torturing and killing animals as a child?) I digress. Did this guy throw his arms into the air and scream "TOUCHDOWN!?" Did others just laugh and walk into the job site, smacking him on the back to congratulate him?
There are good souls out there like your son. Sure, I bet he didn't want to "make trouble," but silence tells abusers that what they do is OK. Holding them accountable doesn't stop them, but it makes them think once or twice before they murder another animal or burn their family with cigarettes. Thank goodness your son had you to give him a carrier. Could he have lived with himself had he let Lucky die a painful and frightened death? I doubt it. :) His good heart was obviously too wracked to just forget about him.
My husband is a general contractor. Like your son, he works with sickos like this upon occasion. It's not "...those kinds of men" but the few that have little-to-no value for life. Around my husband, these men are particularly careful of others pets and strays on job sites. They don't dare not be. My 6'5" 230 pound husband husband has a case of canned salmon and a 25 pound bag of dry cat food in his truck -- and it's not for a snack.
Thank god for your son. Lucky is beautiful; you and yours are lucky and beautiful!

I can only add my voice (and my tears) to what everyone else has already written about you, Lucky...Cats are such beautiful, delicate creatures; like treasures sent down from heaven with their grace and sweetness. They are living works of art with dear and loving hearts. I just cannot see ever hurting a cat in any way...Bless your little heart, Lucky, and bless the hearts of your human friends who took you in. Believe me, if I ever get married, it will be to a man who loves and cherishes animals (especially cats) as much as I do.
Let us not forget, the Scriptures say that God's eye is on the sparrow, and all other living things...the Creator of the Universe is aware of everything that happens to all of his creatures, great and small.

Lucky, your story brought tears to my eyes. I am so sorry that you had to endure such horrible beginnings, but am so thankful that such a wonderful family took you in to care for. I am glad that there are caring people out there who don't believe all animals are "a nuisance". Animals should be loved and cherished, but unfortunately so many people just don't get it. They don't know what they are missing in not having the love and companionship of a "fur kid", but also, they don't deserve to either. So to you Lucky, I hope you have many, many more years of happiness! To your family, thank you for showing us that there are those with truly kind hearts-bless you!

Sweet Lucky, we didn't make it to COTD yesterday, but had to add our wishes for your future and thanks for your wonderful purrsons who love you so much. We hope you have many years in the sunshine with all the love you deserve. You are a beautiful boy!
All of our cats are rescues...some had been mistreated - some just dumped and uncared for or injured...we are all so glad to read your "success" story - be happy, sweet Lucky.

Hello beautiful Lucky! What an amazing story of rescue and love. Bless your humans for taking you away from that awful place and into a home where you are so much loved.
I live in Chemung County and will be moving to Steuben County sometime this summer. Lucky, if you ever need some extra kitty cuddles, just let me know!

Yeesus Marta, how can some people be so heartless? Millions of scowly faces to that merciless boss and big smiley ones for this boy's rescuer. Next time act right away, please?
