I just posted a thread in the market section for showing off my new website rabbitpal.com.

I am looking for bunny lovers (who can resist those cute bunnies :) ) who have adopted a bunny from a shelter and would like to write something about their new beloved pet (including a picture).
To help even more bunnies waiting outthere for a new home.

regards,

Marie-Jose

I have 3 bunny stories, but no pictures.

My first bunny was at a horrible pet shop. The baby bunny had a bum leg, I don't know what had happen to it. When I saw the bunny I knew I needed to take her and get her help, the dreadful pet shop acted like there was nothing wrong with her leg. I payed a wopping $15 to get her out of there. I named her peanut. The vet couldn't do anything to save the leg, it was already paralyzed. She needed her butt cleaned a couple times a day and a full bath about once a week, she got messy due to the way she sat. Altho she couldn't hop around or even move much she loved to go outside and sit with me. We would sit in the grass, or on the porch swing. She would sit at the computer with me, watch tv or lay in bed with me. She was a great bunny and unfortunately died at only one and a half years old.

My second bunny was a lop ear bunny. He was all white with brown ears and a few brown spots down his back. I named him Frosty because he was found hopping down the road on a cold december night. What a great christmas present!! We didn't know anything about his past, but he was the best bunny ever imaginable. He past away only 9 months after we found him.

My third bunny is Caramel, a brown rex. A man bought his 3 kids a bunny for easter, after a couple months the kids lost interest. The bunny was getting big and wild. He was being kept in a small "bunny starter kit cage" that was too small for him. Of corse he was going wild, he was young, unhappy, and full of energy that he could not get out. They decided to find him a home, and I got him. I named him Caramel. He is now a little over 2 years old. He has a large cage now along with a lot of time out of his cage. He loves to hop and run through the yard. He is an excellent bunny.

I adopted my 2 buns together from a shelter. I can write up a story a bit later. I just wanted to let you know there are a lot of shelters with rabbits in washington state if you want the links to add to the site. the website looks awesome by the way! what a great resource!

here are the main rabbit shelters that I know of in WA:

Rabbit Haven (http://rabbithaven.org)- gig harbor (where I got my buns)

Evergreen Rabbit Rescue (http://evergreenrabbit.org)- woodinville

Best Little Rabbit, Rodent & Ferret House (http://washingtonhouserabbitsociety.org/AdoptedCurrent.asp)- seattle (lake city)

there are other shelters that have rabbits but also cats & dogs too.
