Not one, but two! {{Pictures}}

As some of you may know, I was looking for a new furry friend. See thread HERE (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48467).

I went back to that Pet Store yesterday, to look at the birdie once again. I was hoping to get it that day. But, when I got there, the pure white cockatiel had been sold... only two days after we had been there!

So, we went to the Pet Store where we had gotten Nelly. There were no little, baby birds, but there were a few mating pairs. They were all gorgeous. One set was a common grey set-- the male was similar to Nelly.

My mom and I were very attracted to two birds, in a bottom cage. The man that was working there was VERY friendly. The man that worked at the other pet store was very rude, and would not talk to us about the birds.

Well, I suppose you have guessed that I got the two birdies.

This is Soda. I am almost positive this is the female.

This is Cracker. He is a bit more friendly, and curious than Soda, but after some love, they will be more friendly. Right now, they are still scared of the new place, and they are still getting used to us all.

Soda is just *singing* so much! It seems as if he is really getting settled in here. I even took him out today, and he had fun sitting on my hand.

Willie- I know that I am not ready at this time for baby birds. Once we are all more comfortable with each other, and I learn a LOT more about breeding birds, I will think about it.

Popcornbird- I don't know exactly what you mean by singing. He tries to repeat us a lot, and there is some squacking, but Soda is louder than Cracker.

I basically mean more vocal, but male cockatiels sing/whistle a lot. Like Popcorn...........he's constantly making up these long songs and tunes and whistling them. Muffin doesn't sing like he does.
