I was out with the pups and camera earlier and snapped a few pics of some of the plants coming up/growing. Thought I'd share these for other garden/spring junkees out there :D

Hostas coming up.

A few perennials, coneflowers, Rudbeckia, columbine, yarrow, bee balm.. Some of these will be transplanted to other places when we get more beds ready.

One of the crabapple trees just coming into bloom.

Radishes

LOTS of onions.. I think David went a little overboard on these. :p

Peas on the left, carrots on the right though you can't really see the carrots well yet.

And finally the tomato/pepper plants. Tomatoes are getting leggy but they are easy to plant partway down the stem, they just sprout roots from there.

That's all. Doggie pics are in Dog General.

OOoooooohhhhh, I'm drooling now!!!! Your garden is wonderful!!! Isn't it fun to explore every day to see what's sprouting next??? We're a little further along as I am so much further south and I'm enjoying every minute!!! :)

Wow, Jess, the garden's really popping! Everything looks great:) I'll bet you can't wait to get the tomatoes in the ground! My piggies would love to come by for a visit to nibble on those carrot and radish tops:D I hope you'll keep taking pics of the garden as it growns and share them with us!

I love your garden! You're so lucky to have such a large backyard where you can plant all the veggies you want! We usually plant tomatoes, peppers, onions, potatoes, strawberries, eggplants, etc. in the spring, but not this year. Of course our backyard just has a small space to grow veggies, but we used to do it anyway. Its such an enjoyable experience, and home grown veggies always taste better than store-bought! I'm sure you can't wait to get the fruit of your hard work this summer! :)

Thank you for the comments :). Logan that is how I feel in the spring, just an air of excitement as things seem to pop up overnight. Our apple trees and lilacs will bloom soon... I just can't wait for that heavenly sweet smell in the yard, especially after a rain. Peonies are coming up too as well as lillies.

When I was younger I never could understand my Mom's excitement over all of this and just accepted I would probably just feel different about it... but turns out I am a lot like her after all :D

WOW, that is looking beautiful. I can't believe you are so much further along than we are here in Ohio. We had 40 degree temps earlier this week! We had a possible frost warning...and you have live plants in the yard.

Those onions are going to be delicious!
