Ok you guys I have poured over the "Furminology" dictionary that sirrahbed made and I can't come up with anything for this! Only my silly boy Pete could possibly come up with this weird position. What on earth would you call this pose?
Not so bad from the front view. No big deal right?

I don't know what to call it, but that just the cutest pose I have seen in ages. Looks like he got sleepy, and just couldn't take another step!

It is funny, and carpet mushing does sound like a pretty good name for it.
Willie:)
I don't have a name for it but I am envious of his flexibility! :D Just look at those front legs! LOL! Oh to be as pliable as a kitty and to be able to get into all of those positions without waking up with *kinks.* :p

Your right Willie! Thats exactly what it looks like! He does some weird contortionist moves and sleeps in weird ways. Maybe he is double jointed!http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/smile.gif

Carpet mushing... I think that is the best description.
Dakky is the only one of my kitties that does it. It is adorable!

We call that "the slug" or "the snail". Verb form is to be "slugged out" on the floor or the futon. Usually happens on the back of the futon after high bursts of racing up and down the hallway!!

LOL! I agree with the "slug" because he looks he was crawling along the ground and fell asleep.
I know this is the cat side, but check out Nebo's sleeping position in this pic!

At our house we call that the *TURKEY LOAF*, a variation of the meatloaf except with those silly bony hips up at an angle - looks like a turkey trussed and ready for the oven....except Pete kinda looks like he has a broken turkey neck:eek:

Here is Pepper's attempt. She's too small for "full turkey". Hers is more of the scrawny rubber chicken look.
