Does anyone else own a/ny dog(s) who will stay in bed until you get up, no matter WHAT time it is??
I was sick last night, so I couldn't sleep, and I finally fell asleep at 5:30AM, so I just got up a half hour ago(12:30), which means so did Jasper! And he did NOT stay up until 5:30 AM with me, he was snoring away since 1:30 AM, which is 11 hours of sleep for him  and he's suposibly a hyper 8 month old boxer puppy ;)
He definatly has a lazy side!
Anyone else have dogs like this?
P.S: Speaking of sleepy heads, the Cutest Sleepy Head Contest (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47423) deadline for entries is May 2nd, PM/E-mail your entries!! And let me know if anyone needs it moved to a few days later! Thanks

I have a set of them actually! On the weekends when I want to sleep late, the "sleep-in" dogs get to come inside. Sleet will stay on her bed for hours on end. Earle loves to cuddle and if he can get in the bed he ain't moving! Preacher has the most amazing bladder control of any dog I've ever met. One time I waited til he asked to go outside, rather than taking him out--18 hours before he went outside on his own and he wanted back in 5 minutes later!!
Then there's Hobo who is a little alarm clock. Sleeping in is barking at 7:30am instead of 7:15. This morning he wanted out to play at 3am!
Neither of my dogs budge from bed until I do ... no matter if its 5am or 2pm !!!!

Buddy does the same thing....to a point....during the week we get up at 6am, but on weekends, if I want to stay in bed until 11ish, he stays with me....beyond that point he'll start to breath heavy and stare at me. :)

I think my Max would sleep 24/7 if we'd let him. When I was home this week sick,he was in seventh heaven because I slept almost all day. If you say "wanna take a nap" or "let's go to bed", he runs down the hall and waits at the bedroom door for you.
I'll have to send you the pictures of my kids sleeping for the contest. They are so cute.

I swear Murph could sleep through a hurricane. He's not getting up, unless you make him. But once he's up, he's as peppy as can be.
Oz gets up at 6am every weekday. The school bus stops at the corner of my house, to pick up the kids. As soon as he hears it, he asks to go outside. I let him go out to say a quick "Hi" to the kids, then make him come back in and he'll go right to sleep with me and Murph, until I get up at 7. If I'm up, he's up. On weekends, he's real good about sleeping all day with me and Murph, if that's what the plan is. But once you're up, he's up. Doesn't wanna miss out on any activity.

Yep...as playful and hyper as Tae is, she stays in her bed until I get up and start moving around...which amazes me since she's only been with us for a few days and has already formed deep attachments to my whole family.

LOL, Angie used to sleep not only till I got up, but much longer. I can remember coming home from class or work and she'd be in the same spot. She was much older than Jasper though. We would joke that she would get up at 5:00pm everyday, even though people were home much earlier.:D

Angus is my true sleepy head. He would stay in bed all day long if I did:)
And like Glacier said sleepy late for Roxey is getting up at 7:15 instead of 7:p
Huney is fine either way.

I wish! Daphne likes to wake everyone up nice and early, whining, climbing on top of you, licking your face. ^_^
Cocoa likes to sleep in though, but she's not really my dog, she's my mom's, so she sleeps in with her.

Mick takes short naps during the day but his bedtime could be at ten and he'll sleep until 6:50am when my mom comes downstairs. On rainy days he'll just be so mush, he doesn't want to move. :p

Sadie sleeps in til I get up. On work days she sleeps later than me and I have to shake her awake (as though 8:30 is too early for a walk?!). Maybe she can't get up cause she's busy fidgeting all night, having bathroom and "put the covers back over me" episodes all night that keep me up too!
